TINT>>>>>> problematic??

Just got my car tinted..waitied a good 5 days to let the tint dry and roll them down....when I did the was so much drag on the window that it broke...I can't roll my drivers side back window up!
a couple of the window work good, but the other 2 don't..The 1 is totally broke...Has this happened to anyone else?

like it wont work at all... or the auto up feature isnt working? that sounds pretty bad if your tint made it get stuck.. i say take it back to the shop that did it and complain....

if only your auto up feature isnt working, roll the windows up and down a few times.. it will relearn the feature.

btw, arent you danny's buddy with the pearl white A4?

i dont remember if i met you, but i was down there stayin at his house a couple weeks ago.

most places where you get your windows tinted give you a warranty. i recommend you take it back to them and have them fix it for you. they probably just did a horrible job at tinting your windows.

speaking of tinting, how much does it cost to get a good job done...I think the darkest I can get is 35% btw (darkest legal in NC)

well guys, I got everything fixed...cost me nothing....Went to audi ...the lifter and pop rivit broke in rear driverside door. then took it over to the tint guy....he also coverd his work and fixed the tint..I guess one of his "helpers" did my windows the first time..... this time the owner personally did it over himself. So I will find out if all the problems are fixed in 3 days when I can roll them down..... Tint Job cost me $100.00 15% all the way around...looks great on my black car...really like the way it turned out and I don't feel like I am driving around in a "fish bowl"!...LOL

can i see pics? i wanna see how dark 15% looks. do u think i could pass that off as 35% to my parents? i doubt it, but it's worth a shot

15% is pretty dark..but with the sun here in FL it looks like 20% or more somedays. So fricken BRIGHT! I am really only a fan of dark windows on Black or Dark Midnight Blue cars..just my personal taste...I think 20% is perfect for all cars but this being my 1st BLACK car I though that I would do it darker. 20% you should be able to fool your parents.

I gotta get somebody to take a good pic of her..I only have a crappy cell phone camera.

no, stock is like 45-50%, and it wouldn't be a huge difference. it will look better, just not really worth $250 or wutever the tint job ends up costing

If you want to know what 15% is just look at the rear window on a new model Tahoe/Suburban/Yukon. Its 15%

i got 5% all around in my car, and i got the front tinted at 35%. i feel like im in a moving cave when i go out at night. but, it helps when you live in miami, and the sun heats your car up to 120degrees in the summer.

I've had window regulator problems a couple of times, and one time i brought the car into the dealership, my advisor asked if i had my window tinted because the "weight" from the tinted window might have broke the rivets/regulator etc..
