    Computer Question again... help

    all of sudden this morning i turn on my computer,
    everything loads up fine on the DOS screen.
    but when it's time to show "Windows XP loading screen"
    screen is blank. what da hell is going on with my comp?

    do u guys think that my vid card is blown?

    are you able to log into windows on that machine?

    if you see teh DOS boot up its not your video card unless you changed your resolution to something your card can't handle. Its gotta be something else.

    no i can't. after the DOS boots up then when it's about to load up the Windows, screen goes blank

    Do you have a boot disk? Can you boot in safe mode? I think you hold down f4 or f8 while its booting and you can enter safe mode. Then change your video settings or run adaware, anti-virus and such to rule out those possibilities.

    But, it's usually a hardware conflict or some critical file aws altered or destroyed. In that case use system restore as a last resort and go to your last successful setup.
