Do K&N Filters Really Work???

I have heard mixed things with regard to K&N filters. What do you guys think?

You're gonna get tons of different opinions on this one. This is mine.

A brand new high-quality paper filter will flow as much air as a K&N. The problem is that they quickly loose flow capacity as the paper gets dirty. The K&N's flow capacity , on the other hand, remains essentially the same for a much longer time.

Don't ask me were I got this info. I read it a gazillion years ago but I can't remember were.

Oh, and a PROPERLY oiled K&N will not damage your MAF.
