New Car: Crimson Red or Dolphin Gray

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Here's the choice - narrowed it down to these two:

2004 Crimson Red with Beige Interior:

    Pros:
    - Rarer Color, haven't ever seen one in my city.
    - Beige interior is happy feeling
    - ECU and turbo upgrades available for sure.
    - Moving from a silver ext/black int car, so change is always good
    - Cheaper since its a 2004

    Cons:
    - Some see it as being an older person color - not as sporty.
    - Hard to keep interior clean.

2005 Dolphin Gray with Black Interior

    Pros:
    - Arguably one of the nicest colors for an A4.
    - Black interior is easy to keep clean and lends a sportier feel.

    Cons:
    - Getting to be very common A4 color. Seems every 3rd new A4 is this color (I guess for good reason).
    - Moving from a silver ext/black int car doesn't provide much change.
    - Some say its color is drab and depressing
    - Not 100% sure if upgrades will work on this year's variant as of yet or don't know how long it will take. Don't want to drive a slow car for 6 months.

No Red and black at least on the lot, it would have to be custom ordered, but I like that beige combo anyways.

Get what YOU want , and be happy with it!! Beige is a bitch to clean!! Hope you aint got kids or sloppy friends. Good luck in deciding ( dolphin gray ), and hope you get the color ( dolphin gray ) that you want along with the interior color ( black ) that you want. Don't let anyone persuade or pressure you, OK? Take it easy Dolphingraykawasaki

I hate beige interior. Got it in my Explorer EB Edition, and the thing sucks, especially when you wear new jeans that havent bled out fully in the washer.

Go with the red. I agree with all your cons for the grey. Be different. NEVER FOLLOW. Go with the red.

Crimson is a great color, I would chose that and the beige will look great, but it is definitely a pain to keep clean.

You made the choice too hard for me to make But that Crimson Red when I see it makes me drool all over myself. Like the others I don't know about the beige interior. My mom's Lexus has beige . . . and I'm glad I have black

I've got the white w/black that these guys are telling you to get, and I love it.... but if they'd have had a crimson ultrasport on the lot it would have been a difficult decision.

I like the beige interior. Looks classy. Sure its a bit harder to maintain, but damn, looks like a more expensive car with nice clean interior. Plus it's easier to find stuff in the dark.

Red's my vote for exterior. It's very rare and I think pretty sporty. Dolphin Gray is the new silver...everyone seems to have it.

Beige interior I'm not so much a fan of...perhaps platinum or ebony instead?

If you get a 2005 model, it might have the new grille on it. :D

    Hey All!!

I just bought the CRIMSON A4 today and brought it home! I actually got a decent trade in value on my car. 34k CAD after tax rebate on my 2000 BMW 328ci. Not bad considering that's what I paid for it 8 months ago. I did put rims on it though, so I guess I lost like 2k. Oh well. Quattro. Can't wait till winter. No more sliding down hills or getting stuck.

The crimson red looks really sharp. It's a nice change from all those gray toned cars out nowadays. The beige interior is really nice too. It's a great change from my silver on black Bimmer of past.

Driving the car (at least shortly) is great. I love to hear the turbo spool and the slight (I guess) blow off release sound when you shift. Too bad I'm breaking it in and can't really giver yet.

The only gripe I have is that the seat heater adjustment is hard to use, that scroll wheel is so small. Can't win em all.

I'll post pics either late tonight or tomorrow!

Nice choice. I have a light interior on my Escalade and I love it. If you stay on top of the cleaning it makes a big difference. I usually clean the seats etc. about once every three weeks. Congrats on the new purchase.

Get any color you want just dont get Tan leather. It looks dirty after a while and never looks clean. I would buy any color with Black leather.
