Hi i am new to audi performance.... (more familiar with bmw )

and here is my mod list:

    BBS CH 19" ~ 2000$
    Stoptech BBK ~2000$
    Eibach springs upgrade ~ 400$

I want to make this 180 hp engine to be more powerfull... and i only have 1600 left...

what should i do so that i can make my car to have 250 (fly wheel hp) range?
is it possible ? i know chip will bump like 30 hp so it will be 210 hp... and cost like 500 $.... how bout cold air intake ? or exhaust.... is my budget possible??

btw do i have to upgrade my clutch is 250 hp good enough for the oem....

    thanks alot..

For engine I'd just do a chip and exhaust, I love my Neuspeed (www.neuspeed.com) products and you can get both for about $1,200 along with that though I suggest you get a stronger bypass valve and with that I'd go with the SPP Billet BPV (www.supremepower.com) which is like $120. That should get you enough HP for now. Personally I'd wait about a year or so til you go with more power just because of the fact that everything is so new right now that the bugs haven't gotten fixed. By the way, if you are planning to those nice wheels and brakes and lots of power, get some coilovers. I didn't and everyday I wish I had. You can pick up some Koni coilovers that are great for around $1,000. check with SPP about that too. I hope I helped you out.

Get a chip ($500), BPV ($140) and Exhaust w/ DP ($775) and test pipe ($199) and you should be alot closer to 250...... but I dunno, those numbers are high to achieve w/o a turbo kit imo.

    Welcome aboard.

Now to set the record strait. First, it's not an advant, but an Avant. Second, the car as 170 Hp stock and not 180 Hp.

As for mods, if you want 250 CHP, you will need to get a different or a bigger turbo kit and this will not fall in your budget range.

You may start with a chip and cat back exhaust. I would also change the BPV, get better spark plugs and a new high performance air filter. All these will bring you in the 200 to 220 Hp range depending on whom you buy the software from. BTW, don't believe all their paper ratings, there is a lot of bullsh!t in the after market business, they are far from being reliable and honest on how they get these numbers.

I would definitely get a coilover kit for a suspension and even forgo the BBK. Unless you are going to track the car (Avant?!) you don't need to spend money at the start of your mods on a BBK. There is a much cheaper solution available to you. Buy a used set of B5 S4 front brake kit (the HP-2 system). Although heavier than a BBK and not as flashy they will be more than adequate for daily and even some spirited track driving. You can get those for anywhere between $200 and $300 used.

The BBS CH are very nice wheels but they are one of the heaviest wheels produced by BBS. I would stick to 18s myself because both the wheels and tires in that size are lighter than in the 19 inch size. Any time you accelerate a decelerate those heavy wheels/tires combo will show their ugly face. Also the additional unsprung weight will also affect the handling. The Avant is already an heavy car, if you want more performance out of it be careful on what you choose.

As you can see. I'm more GO than SHOW and it all comes down to what you want for your car.

good luck, nice list so far. I would not worry too much on the brakes unles you are sure you are going to have more ass behind your car, like a K04 with other goodies. But that is my opinion. If you are worried about making power take that 6 grand and hit the engine bay with it. Larger turbo, larger injectors, FMIC, SMIC, turbo back exhaust, Revo or Neuspeed or whoever's software, new DV, SAMCO Hoses, and then worry about the other stuff with what you have left over. That is what I would do with 6G´s.

Oh yeah, not to rain on yout parade man, but it is 163 hp not 180 and it is AVANT bro, not advant.

Unless you know something I don't know, it's 170 Hp in North American cars. The 163 Hp applies to Euro speced cars.

Thanks for the respond.... and thanks for correcting the word avant :) For some weird reson I always relates this car to the Advant racing wheel...

The reson why i am getting bbk is for the look.... so I might spend another 1000 dollar just to purchase the turbo kit (larger intercooler etc etc ) btw Is OEM clutch still good for this upgrade or I have to buy Stage 2 clutch????

    thanks

u may have to focus on the looks or performance one or the other because if you do looks you wont have money left for power as high as you're wanting. and vice versa.

The clutch is weak. If you dump the clutch at every corner to race, even a kit with chip, injectors and cat back will make it eventually slip. If you go with a K04 or bigger turbo, you might as well budget a clutch.
