And also, what's my next step for more power after a chip and exhaust besides a bigger turbo. Let me guess.....a test pipe. And then what?

Copper plugs, FMIC, chipswitch to advance timing so you can use higher octane gas.

Is that what the REVO programs do? The sps 2 and 3? I'm not sure how those programs work.

Few lucky fellows over here had REVO big injectors program on their CVTs.

they are running 315c.c. injectors which is perfectly mate with CVT torque limit.

The one with FMIC is damn fast and I hardly follow with my K04.

i dont think the regular stock revo program will fully take advantage of new injectors. i think adjusting boost and timing will help but isnt as good as a true big injector program. i think dahlback has a big injector program? apr, and maybe ams i'm not too sure.

i remember hearing about GIAC working on a big injector program...and from above it seems that REVO has one as well. you'll have to ask around.

Is there a reason why MTM is so expensive

    Yup,
MTM works closely with Audi in Europe. Joe Hoppen was the special vehicles manager for Audi during the winning of Lemans. In Europe, MTM receives cooperation with Audi regarding ecu programming. This does not occur with most other tuners. Also in Europe, MTM is forced to pass TUV norms requiring extensive testing and reliability studies befored their products can be sold in Europe. If MTM has a failure or if their claims are more than what the performance actually is for a given product, they are in jeopardy of losing their TUNING LICENSE meaning they can no longer sell products in Europe. No such licenses exist here in the states. Consequenly, MTM has a number of test vehicles that are tested during road and track conditions, again something that most tuners do not do. While many people will say that TUV norms do not apply to us Americans, so why should we have to pay for it, my response is that you are paying for the develpment that went into a rock solid programming and hardware package for our cars. The european pragramming and the US programming is very similar and the hardware is the same.

    Cheers! Mike

Those are bhp. Little hint though, MTM is at risk for losing their tuning license if the post optimisitc numbers so they prevent that from happening at all costs. Catch my drift. Cheers! Mike

Well as childish as this sounds, and I know I shouldn't think this or want this and I'm sure people will talk sh*t, but I want to be able to whoop ass on the streets. I'd like to be faster than the fixed up RX-7's, Honda's, Integra's, Civic's, BMW's that I see in L.A.
And I know I'm going to have to invest a lot of money and do a lot of research. The money is one thing because I can save, but the knowledge about what I should and shouldn't do, I don't have. So I don't want to jump into anything that I'll just have to be constantly fixing.

If you want 300+ horsepower, be prepared to either spend a fortune or get very familar with fixing/tuning your car. MTM Stage 4 and the O.CT Stage 3/4 should be out soon, but i'm thinking they will cost a fortune (upwards of 8K dollars). You could also put together your own gt28rs (good compromise for power and lower lag) kit, but you will probably end up getting educated in tuning the hard way. Cheers! Mike

Ok, nevermind, I guess I'll go for show. When I pick up a project car, then that's the one that will have 300whp. I'm not going to risk breaking this B6 just to boost my ego. Thanks for the advice!
