When you do install FireFox - there are a couple great exstensions to get.

Bug Me Not - Gives you generic logins for any news site that requires such.

Get the Tabs extended exstension - makes for enhanced viewing.

And its skinnable!!

And its not MicroCrap!

Where do you get those items? I've used FireFox for a bit, but have not heard of that stuff. Please post links if you have them. Thanks.

go to the top of your browser, click tools, then extensions.. then click "get more extensions" there ya go..

the bug me not extension works good, i tested it out.

I disagree. I love it, but there ARE bugs (a few I've found)...also, there were several news articles run last week about security holes, so I suggest you guys get the newest versions.

If you are using firefox, here's a page that tests the vulnerability that was patched in version 0.9.2:

i cant find any updates for the browser voodoo.. i checked their site and i couldnt find a "check for updates" thing on the browser except for checking on the extensions.

well if you just got it, there's no updates unless you use the nightly-build-from-source option.

0.9.2 is the latest binary installer version.

firefox is killing me on the forums... the place that you input text on audizine shrank to less than half the size, same with the quick reply.. whats the deal with this? anyway to fix it? the fields dont have build in scroll bars to the sides, and the arent nearly as wide at all.... its really getting annoying.

yea.. any another thing if anyone has any idea how to fix it.. when i click a link in my outlook or something similar.. i get a dialogue box that opens saying... "Locate Link Browser" i have no idea what that means.. because i find firefox on there and it doesnt like it... but its weird because it opens firefox anyway when i click the link and the dialogue box stays behind.

i fixed the locate link browser thing.. but the thing with AIM not being able to press link and "use current" is making me mad. i'm finding tons of bugs with this program already.. i hate how on forums the fields to input text are tiny.. its rediculous.

Yes, the small text box is annoying. But, I had forgot all about it since using FireFox until you just reminded me. Damn you.

It sounds like your computer isn't sure what your default browser is. I use Outlook too, and I've never had that issue that you mentioned.

i do. i switched back to IE for the time being. firefox is being retarded.. it says its saving my passwords, but instead its killing the cookies or something because on sites that autologin for me its now asking for my password every time.. what a POS.

check the privacy settings...that's how I have mine set (on purpose)...

Yeah the forum fields are a bit annoying.. but tabed browsing and no popups and less security leaks are worth it. Plus its still in the 0.9.5 beta stage. I had the same problem with outlook, but that's easily solved. For those that don't know yet, you just have to change your browser in the outlook options to firefox.

Mine saves my passwords automatically... don't know what the problem could be... possibly privacy settings?

One more thing is I dont get any "red x" for bad image links. I dont' know how to fix that either.
