The heat shield works very well, I was suprised myself at how well it works. DDQ my car is a 97 with 98K miles on the original engine.

Its hard to get good pics do to the setup. The turbo is hard to see casue of the manifold. My camera sucks too.

Just gotta give you a bad time man...it was such a long wait after you dropped it off...no one knows that better than you though...sounds like it was worth the wait.

Any word if their gonna offer the setup you have as a kit?

Last I heard was if they did it wouldn't be cheap. Cant' let APR get the upper hand (if they ever do get their stage III+ released)

It is the heat shiedl that caem with the kit, PES made it. They also did the wrap in the intake for me. I dont have a 2.0L either.

I dont know what the retail is going to be on the kit, but it will be more then the current stage 3 kits out there. Hit me up on AIM if you would like to know the break dowm for what i paid.

I'm curious to see if the welds on that manifold hold up over time. Most of the tube headers that I've seen for smaller engines like ours tend to crack on the welds due to the heat or the turbo and the tension on the welds due to their sharp angles.

If you ever do a TB change, you should get a nice snapshot of the turbo from a head on perspective. That would help others to realize the size of the GT28R bolted up next to the 1.8T cylinder head.

Full-race.com is the only company that has a life time warranty on all their tube manifolds. Yes they cost nearly $1300 but it will be the last manifold you will ever have to buy.

Yes the turbo is small, since it is just a GT28 which is the same as a T3 frame. The next step up would be a turbo that is a stage 3 T3 turbine with a GT30 61mm wheel in a T04S compressor housing. This is something Full-race sells and at a cost of under $900 for the turbo. Only thing is that the GT28 comes with a 3" inlet while the GT30 I am talking about comes with a 4" inlet. I on the other hand am runing at full GT35R(gt30/40R).
