What do you guys do for a large purchase off ebay. Say 2 grand. Is there a way I can send the seller a cashiers check with the stipulation that it can't be cashed untill goods are recieved? Basicly I just want to make sure I don't get screwed, how would you go about it? Thanks

if, and when i make large purchases on ebay, i make sure they take cc for payment. that is really the only protection...........that or use an escrow company and pay a fee.

I think the Escrow is probably the best way. Since what I am buying will be taken apart for shipping. With the escrow you can set a number of inspection days after delivery,, then you call them and tell them it is ok within those days. COD could get me screwed since I will need at least a day to put it back together and make sure all the parts are there.
