Simple Intake Question

I was cleaning and oiling my K&N last night and realized that I wasn't really sure what that smaller Filter (you know, the 1/2 inch one that is on the 30v 2.8) goes to...I suspect for A/C or heat, but not sure...anyone know for sure, just curiouse.

I think its a pollen filter for A/C.

i think that is for the crankcase breather.

it depends on the year of your car. if your cars year is 99.5 or under you do not use it. it only goes on the cars 2000 and above. that might be a reason you cat find where it goes,
