dont think so and heres why

bose runs ****ed up superlow impedances so your head unit amp will probably overheat. can be fixed with new speakers and bypassing rear amp.

if the B6 bose is anyhting like the B5 bose than the front speakers bose or non-bose are powered off the headunit...these are the normal 4ohms and can be powered by the headunit. Its the rear that will cause you a problem, a solution is to convert the rear wire into RCA's and connect them to the headunits pre-out.

the rears and sub are powered by the amp, and the front is powered by the head unit you are correct.

yes it will work fine with non-bose. if you are adding a sub you might want to disable the stock sub too

on the B6 w/Bose, all speakers are powered from the amp in right side of the trunk. The head unit simply feeds the amp with line-level signals. Whether they come from the stock HU or an aftermarket one shouldn't make a difference. The inpedence of the speakers doesn't matter to the HU as it's passing everything to the amp, not connected directly to the speakers

the bose system can be run no problem by an aftermarket head unit. there is an adapter that connects the 2 no problem. the only thing i noticed when i first did that was that the speakers didn't sound quite as good as when the bose headunit was running them. solution: focal seperates in all four doors and a new sub. much better now!

u sure?! first off i thought the bose amp only powered the rears and sub like boosted stated. secondly that means he must splice rcas somewhere in the stock amp and run those to the head unit.

if he has low impedance speakers he cant run it off the headunit which runs at 4 ohms. i think bose impedance is what 1/2ohm or less? 20 watts @ 4ohms = 160 watts @ 1/2 ohm = bye bye head unit amp.
