Well, even if you find a used setup, you're talking at least $400 for springs and shocks (which you need). Then you need an alignment, which can range from $100-$200 for a 4-wheel alignment. And unless you do it yourself (which is not a beginner job), it will cost you anywhere from $250-$400.

I was lucky and got my Bilstein Sport Adjustables and Race Springs for about $400 plus shipping. I paid about $200 for install, but I had other maintenance done at the time which lowered the cost. The same shop scored me a cheap alignment.

But, my experience has been that a good alignment is hard to find for a lowered Audi. If you don't get it done right, you risk wearing tires pre-maturely.

If you want coilovers, they start at about $900 at least. Used, maybe you can find them for $600-$700.

New Bilstin adjustables are $499, and new Neuspeed Race springs are about $200. There is a guy in socal alot of us go to for 4 wheel alignments for $80. It's called west end alignment. I have his number somewhere if you need it.

Im also selling my Neuspeed Sport springs in the classifieds. They are a month old, but I don't know if you are going for that. Check it out here:

if you don't want to do the install yourself, go see Mike at pure motorsports. He did all four corners for me for $80-100. He's a good guy. Very chill. At the time he was working out of his garage, but may have a shop now.

You may even want to check his pricing on parts. He was the most affordable at the time too.

Here's a pic of mine. I have Neuspeed race with the Neuspeed Bilsteins.

If you want to tuck your wheels, then you'll need coilovers. And you'll need a camber kit, otherwise you'll never get close to an acceptable alignment to save your tires.

    What's a "good price"? It's all relative.

Your best bet would to score something in the Classifieds. Sometimes people upgrade to coilovers, or part out, and sell their setup for a good price. That's how I got mine.

Otherwise, see JMG's and jwstampfl's posts above for new stuff.

i have the same springs (although i believe they are sports and not race. i don't think apex has any race springs other than their coils), and i have the koni adjustable shocks. The ride is smooth. i'll post pics when i get back home. I'm rolling on 19's so it tucks a bit more than stock rims.
