Rumors about my turbo...

The only reason I am posting this is for David and only David. As far as the rest of you go I could care less.

My turbo didn't blow up. In fact it is for sale but already spoken for. David has an opportunity to build his own big turbo kit and he has asked me to use my car to build it with. The reason I took off the E05 is to use my car to build a custom manifold. I agreed because David is picking up the tab. We found a place in Nevada that can build us a manifold for a GT28 turbo. From there David will use 440 cc injectors, custom plumbing, and custom software to get everything sorted out. Once it all comes together, he will offer it as a kit. We wanted to keep it under wraps until it was completed but you people wouldn't have it. So why did I take off the E05 if I liked it? Because I am getting a custom GT28 turbo for free. Did the E05 blow up? NO! Is it for sale? Yes, but spoken for. If this doesn't clear things up for you children... too bad. I am done justifying myself to you. This really has been the lamest forum I have ever been on and I am glad to be done with it.

don't you think that may be a bit extreme. your information and knowledge to this forum is greatly appriciated. look on how many happy customers their are for the E05, including me. without you sharing your expierence non of us who currently own the E05 would be enjoying the product. you bring a lot to the table and should just dust the haters of your shirt man. that aint nothing. people are hard to deal with sometimes, always try to take the good with the bad. anways hope you stay in here in audizine. thanks

I think you should stick around, too. I've enjoyed reading your posts and you are one large reason I bought my E05 and FMIC from Dave. I'm glad to hear you guys are working on another system and would like to hear how it's going in the future. Maybe in awhile after you've had yours for awhile I'll put my E05 on the market and trade up to what you have. So please stick around. I would like to clear the air with you. Never did I attack you. I only asked you a question. I appears that there is some friction between you and other members that did not help the situation one bit. I am sorry for that. I have weeded through the negative posts and seen your response that is less heated. It appears that both you and david stand behing there never having been a failure. I am pleased to hear that with all honesty and I look forward to hearing about your new kit. Please view me as a fellow enthusiast who would like to SHARE information and not one who is looking to favor one tuner over another. I have done a lot of research and put alot of money and effort into seeing these cars safely and thoroughly modded and I hope we can share in some of that information. It always pays to keep you cool on these types of forums as emotions that are written down can come back to haunt us (all of us).

Ok this is how i know of the story.

Randy aka Thrawn and Villians aka Derrick are mutual friends. Last Sunday they were at a birthday luncheon. They ran into each other chilled had fun. The topic of AZ came up and how things have been going crazy of late on the forum. Derrick tells Randy that he got into it w/ me (Foofighter/Duan) over some post and then Derrick then proceeds to tell Randy that his turbo blew. And proceeds to tell him that the shaft was the weak point in the design and that it failed. Derrick was kind of dismayed and rather bummed about it which is not surprising. I've known about this since Monday but have kept a lid on it as I knew this industry wouldn't let things go quietly as tuners talk just like we do. Sure enough it came out in one form or another.

My point of contention is the inconsistency how is it a misunderstanding between the two parties when there is a clear deliniation between taking out the E05 for a turbo upgrade and the E05's shaft let go? That's all I'm questioning. I know Randy, I've known him for many years no and I would trust him w/ my family and life and Randy would have nothing to gain from lying. That's why I'm posting, I don't want people to think that Randy is making this all up. And if you are bored enough to read through the post you will see the inconsistencies as well. I respect Derrick when he came on here touting that he has no loyalty towards any tuner and that if they produce a product that didn't live up to expectations then he wouldn't hesistate to call them out. So it puzzles me that in this situation he chose to keep quiet about it and then posting this up to dispell any doubts.

It may not be the hardware itself that failed it could have been some other external variable that may have caused this premature failure. But like some of you I'm privy to a lot of information some of it true some of it not and sometimes I just have to sit by the sideline and let thing pan out as things always do. If there is truth to be told it will come out one way or another...I for one would think that the community as a whole would appreciate it.

Randy and I were not talking about my current turbo, at least I wasn't. I was referring to my T28. That was the last turbo that Randy knew that I had and the last one we were talking about. I ended up buying a brand new turbo from Innovative and selling the new turbo and old hardware to Silence (David) and he will attest to that. Drew also saw the blown turbo. Randy misunderstood what I was talking about and if I hadn't misplaced his cell number I would call him and straighten it out. We only talked for a minute about the car because our other friends quickly started to make fun of us because they are not into cars. I will straighten things out with Randy when I see/talk to him again. This is how rumors start and falsehoods spread. Too bad no one here wants to hear the truth they only want to discredit others. Villians, one thing that confuses me... you had your T28 a while ago, so wtf would people start talking about it now all of a sudden... its sure as hell not because people are bored or want to rid the forums of you... seems odd that someone as knowledgable as this Randy fellow, whom I dont know, would confuse turbo's so easily... whats even weirder is all these inconsistance's and other truth's coming out...

What's your name BTW? Maybe this can shed some light on the T28 thing. I warned Derrick, before I even knew him, of the pontential issues with the T28 on the B6 because of my personal experiences with it. They started out great then went south, as I was mislead and lied too, but I'm over that. It was the programming, not necessarily the hardware although that had inherent issues too. Anthony at GS can share some stories as well about his T28 problems, so can a few others.

There was no programming for these kits, as Garret just recently told us when he posted here, but I was still given a bogus chip by the mighty GIAC for my T28, they have since apologized and I accept that, I'm over it. But my point is Garret is not above reproach. This T28 that Villians sold to Silence (David) is the same T28 that pulled on my buddies M3 in that Vid we made. So with the right software it can really fly, which Garret is focusing on as we speak.

David (Silence) was well aware of the problems the T28 had on the B6, but because he had access to big turbo software he went for it, and has since had to deal with broken studs!!! As I did as well. (Silence) David is a good friend of mine and he wanted me to met Derrick to see if the turbo was okay, this is actually how I met Derrick for the 1st time. Due to it's inherent problems on the B6, Derrick had the T28 kit removed and upon inspection we found problems with it, the turbine was partly blown! Derrick and Innovative replaced the turbo in a few days and then Silence bought the kit. That I can tell you is the fact about that particular T28, and despite the manifold studs breaking, his car has been running great as the vid proved. I only keep bringing that up cause I shot and edited it.

All this E05 stuff I can't say, I wasn't there. Hope that clears up any inconsistances about the T28.
