Cd Changer ?

Hey guys i want 2 update and put a Cd-Changer in the back so iwas lookin for the the pic onnecter and tehre isnt one in the trunk =\ i have a 98.5 a4 1.8t
where can i get one of those wires ?
or any other ideas ?

ya, or you can just get an Alpine MP3 head unit. That will carry about 10 CD on one disk for ya. Plus the sound will be better with a new deck?

Compressed music sounds like crap. If you're interested in sound quality get a good in dash unit. If you're after quantity/volume over quality then get an ipod or mp3 player.

It's still compressed and still crap. I don't care what the bit rate is I can most definately hear a difference with mp3's. I guess I'm just a little pickier with my fidelity.

compressed music from kazaa that was taken from the radio or something is garbage.... If your compressing your own legitimate cd's at a decent bit rate I bet you wouldn't hear a difference.

If you are using an MP3 player/Ipod your music is just as (or reasonable close) compressed as if you are using MP3 discs in your head unit...

Maybe you should get your ears checked. I CAN hear a difference. If you can't then I guess you just don't have a very descerning ear. What professional musicians said it was the same? I'd like to know what studio engineers can say the same. Find me one professional in the audio buisness (I know hundreds) that think mp3's have the same fidelity as cd recordings. Why would there be a demand for SACD and DVD audio? It's because of what even CD's lack for fidelity. So do some research before talking out your ass.

I remember reading that mp3's are missing parts of the auditory spectrum, so it's not true CD sound. Just what I heard somewhere

That's exactly what it does. Concentrates on a narrow bandwidth leaving a lot out. How do you think they compress all that sound into a smaller file? If it was the same quality, the newer mediums coming out would need less storage capacity. Quite the contrary is happening, the newer discs have even more information.

Yes I just dj'd a wedding for some friends. We had 4 horns, 8 15s and 4 18" subs. We played some CDs and some MP3s and boy did the MP3s sound like crap. Some were worse than others but even the best MP3s lacked bass and highs compared to the crispness of CDs. There definately is a differnce. Minimal on headphones or a small stereo system but with any high quality sound reproduction you will definatley notice the difference.

I NEVER SAID THEY WERE THE SAME. You said compressed music is crap. I say it's not and left it there. We can argue all day about what the best audio format is. It's not Mp3 and it's not CD either. You're the one (and your hundreds of engineer super hearing friends) are CRAP!!
