where can i get a good clutch/what is a good clutch?

as well what flywheel is good, future upgrades would be k16's or k04's.

3 months ago I would have said Spec Stage 2 but Spec has been having some issues with their clutches failing. I have one, and so far it's been fine but I am concerned to say the least. Your other options are the AWE stage 2 or 3 clutches, ECS tuning stage 3 clutch or an RS4 clutch which is relatively inexpensive but quesitonable if your making a lot of power. As for flywheels most people either resurface the stock one or buy a light weight aluminum flywheel, they are basically all the same. I chose the latter and I think I made the right choice.

I paid $400 for my brand new RS4 clutch kit shipped from them. That's more than $150 cheaper than AWE and some of the other shops.

I think the failing SPEC clutches have more to do with a large GB that happened recently putting the quality control down to fulfill the demand.

Clutches that are built to order like a SPEC shouldnt be rushed.

The RS4 clutch really sounds like the way to go. Most of the popular tuning companies use it on their track cars.

I was browsing that old issue of EC with the S4 shootout the other day. About half of the cars making good numbers were running RS4 clutches.
