    Question on switching to REVO

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    AZer's,

Have any of you out there gone from one chip program to another?

Im hearing a lot of great things about REVO and would like to know if there's a possibility of testing it out without losing my current APR set up. I know REVO offers a trial version, but Im afraid of my APR S1 getting 'erased'. I suppose if it does, I can always go back to my local tuner and get it reprogrammed.

    Thoughts/comments/prior experience is appreciated.

    Thanks,
    E

Hmmm, the way I understand it is the REVO demo is flashed onto your ECU and then returns it to a "stock-like" mode when the demo is over. So I don't know what happens to your APR program. I had a Neuspeed chip installed in my ECR and now the REVO program is flashed right over it, no box opening/chip changing necessary but it's permanent, no getting the NS program back. Didn't answer your question completely but i hope this helps.

    Thanks Gearhead.

Did you notice a big difference b/w REVO and your NS chip?

Someone else will have to chime in on this, I got the E05 installed w/REVO software so yeah, there's a big difference but that's expected. I know others have had REVO, APR, or NS programs on their cars (Villains and I think DLSJ5).
