    Injector and FPR

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
What injectors and fpr are you running and with what engine mods?

Is the 364cc injector with 3 bar FPR too big for a KO4 kit?

Is the 310cc big enough with 3 bar fpr?

364 seems a little big but 310 is a little small. 330 would be an optimal number i think. prob. 310 w/ 4 bar would be good. see if anybody else has an opinoin. turbo90 are you there.

I'm running that setup K04 with larger injectors. Basically the software was dyno tuned for Bosch "red tops" 310cc injectors W/3 bar FPR. I think if you run anything bigger with a K04 and software your just gonna burn rich and actually lose power. You may wanna talk to www.dynospotracing.com since GIAC originally did the tuning on their dyno for this setup.

By the way I burned rich with my setup originally but I think that was because of the outdated MAF...seems fine now with the newer MAF.

By the way there's 2 different software files for the AEB motor with K04 /larger injectors.
PGK16 which seems to run a fair amout of boost or
PC16 which runs less boost but a really aggressive timing curve and requires a FMIC.

Do you need to have the specific software to run bigger injectors or will the same chip for 5 bra FPR run it ok?

I ask this because my I have the AJL engine code and don't think there is a program for the bigger injectors.

Never heard of the AJL engine code what year is that. I know the rest of the world got different engine codes that we never saw in the states. That being said you need the correct software to run larger injectors W/FPR

Unless you have a tuner that has the correct software for larger injectors your probably better off sticking with the standard K04 software made for your engine code.

AJL is the 180Hp engine, I'm from Australia.
This engine was released in 1999.5 to 2001
We never got the 170Hp engine in the B5 shape.

The stock injectors wont have a problem with 5 bar fpr?

I would think that stock injectors would be fine with a 5 bar. Is there a local tuner that has K04 software for your car.

So what exactly is different in the 180hp engine? I'm guessing it's the same motor, but maybe they run higher boost? Or maybe different emissions regulations? I'm curious.

I have the KO3 sport and i've been told that the wiring and ecu is different to the 150hp my car also makes 10psi with 12psi spikes standard.

I do have an Oettinger dealer near by and Wetterauer dealer.
APR don't make software for me.

I would hitup both of those dealers and see what they have to offer...i'm pretty sure both of them offer K04 programs. If no one makes K04 software for your car it's not gonna be woth it to upgrade.
