Is that 340 at the wheels or at the crank. Was it an MAHA or was it a dynojet, was there numerous runs or just a few. Was the hood open, who was doing the testing. Did they have a baseline. Are they running this consistently or only putting numbers high for dyno sheets. Are the settings consistent w/ those they will put in production?

    You get my point.

If it was a MAHA, then its only 175hp at the wheels

This is the first forum I have ever seen where people actually DON"T want dyno info. The Audi crowd is F'd up in my opinion. You guys need to just continue buying 19's and body kits and talk about how great your European sport sedans are... Keep washing your car and taking more pictures of it, because we just can’t get enough of that! God forbid someone pass on any real knowledge here. This really sickens me. As a performance car enthusiast I have to say that this forum has just become a bunch of nagging little school girls.

    Not really,

Cause you never jumped into either thread, instead you start this uninformative thread. Why do you care if people ask questions? If you don't like them then STFU. Granted some of what you say is true, so jump in the converstaion and make your point. Who said this forum is about people agreeing all the time?

Derrick makes a great point, we ask for information and then get told to STFU when someone asks relevant questions to try and get more info. I think healthy debate is good and yeah insults come out of that but in the end we always seem to shake hands and politely agree to disagree now I'll STFU.

No i was just asking if you had dynoed your car... I was curious to see how much better the FMIC performed over the Dual setup that i have now.

    How is that being Hypocritcal?

I think the point hes trying to make is that whenever somone post dyno numbers, theres always some jerkass whos still complaing about the type of dyno used, blah blah blah, "I dont believe your numbers" (or "I cant believe my numbers"). Then it goes on into another tuner war. Revo this Giac that, what about APR? blah blah blah, and its 5 pages long of crap not related to dyno numbers.

Thats pretty much what ive seen in every dyno thread.

Sorry man, but from where I'm sitting it's you and a few others that make it that way. Without your guy's constant bickering and penis measuring, there wouldn't be a tech/dyno backlash. I'm sure you realize this.

Although, I've only seen one person post such a thing (this one), about not wanting to see dyno or tech info (which I'm sure was all in good fun). The other feedback seems to be about wanting the trash talking to stop, and only the good accurate info to be posted. That's all. Take a deep breath...

Don't think the bickering will stop, as there are multiple choices and options out there, everyone will have - and will be entitled to - their own opinion. The fights and bitching is of course uncalled for though, and doesn't have to happen. But what can ya do, it's a free and open forum for discussion and debate. So long as said debates don't get out of hand, they shall continue.

Really? That's all you've seen? I think it depends on how you look at it, most of the dyno posts I've read have been more informative than not. I think people doubt, some of the #'s and trust one dyno over another, so does that mean they're a jerk? I think dyno #'s are one way you can compare chips to see which makes better power so as a consumer you have a choice, plus it's healthy competition. All how you look at it I guess.

Really, I am the cause of this shit. Great, I'll just stop posting all together. Hopefully so will JetJockey, BHVRDR, DLSJ5, and anyone else who has good info to share. Then you little whiners can sit around jerking off to how clean your cars are or how great Ziano wax is. Have a nice life. Wow, so this is humorous to me... but let me set some of it straight.

First off, I meant this as a joke that maybe some of you would calm down about dyno's and arguing over which dyno was used. I'm not against results, but you're not bickering over results your bitching over the dyno. Who gives a shit... post numbers and compare them to a baseline on the same dyno, dont sit there and rip on dyno's. The people who use the dyno's give 2 shits, it's not even their dyno...

And rip on people w/ bodykits and 19" all you want. I'm not one of them, but even if I was, why hate on someone else for what they like. Shit, be happy that they own an Audi and help the community grow bigger. The argument about show vs. go is as retarded as people bitching about how old someone is and where they get their money to mod. Who gives a shit honestly...

And as far as Derrick (Villians) and DLSJ5 are considered, I'm great you too are such avid fans of the "penis measuring" and "tuner wars" that go on in those threads. But before you tell me to STFU, read those threads and see how many times I post in regards to what dyno it's on or even the numbers, once or twice if that, but prolly never.

So before you tell me to STFU and read my mind saying I don't want numbers, get the facts straight. I want numbers, I just don't want the bullshit arguing over what f-ing dyno was used to get those numbers.

If you bickered as much about better programing or tweaking mods to get more hp as much as you do about what dyno is used and if its at the crank, hub, wheels, etc. you'd accomplish alot more...

All I've seen is arguing by Villians and you stating that nothing comes close to the dyno Ecode uses nor Ecode's mods... that they're the best tuner and they use the best dyno's....

You won't even give a man like JetJockey props for his numbers, considering how much money, time, and effort is in his ride...

Quit acting like a bunch of girls and fighting over what doesnt matter and fight about what matters...

    Like I said...

and concentrate on improving numbers and mods.

Awww isn't this sad. If you wanna leave, than leave. No ones holding you back... if you'd quit bitching about what dyno was used you'd see a lot more people interested in your info. Hell I wanted to talk to you a few times, but decided not to because it seems your obsessed w/ dyno's...

I dunno whose jerkin off to what, but it seems you can't get it up unless it's your dyno and your tuning... every other one is just plain crap.

Well Drew you make a good point. The point of contention arises when one said person dyno's their car and produces their results for general consumption...and because it was done on such or such dyno on such and such a day and temp and all other ten million variables you get descrepencies and that results in the tongue and cheek inuendos questioning the validity of such numbers.

the bottom line is if someone took the time out to dyno their number and do it in a methodical way and gets gains based off of their baseline then how can anyone on here question the validity of said numbers? Those numbers are their gains...your mileage will vary that's it. Nothing more nothing less.

As Anthony said, from where we're seeing things, whenever there is a post on things like this you see the same cast of characters show up and post with a tone that even by internet standards you can tell there's sarcasm or doubt.

Now if these tuners/vendors were so quick to reply back about giving back to the community by paying for banner advertising like how everyone jumps on these debates we'd have more schwag and things to offer to the masses. But that's another topic all together.

You should read the posts. You will find that I never complain about what dyno was used. In fact I was the one being bitched at because I used a MAHA. In fact so many people bitched that I went to a dynojet just to get people to shut up. Jet Jockey does get props from me for doing what he is doing. I wish more people would share there dyno numbers no matter how many of your complain abou it. You must have me confused with someone else. The only thing I disagreed with JetJockey on was the price of his kit. So get that straight. I never moaned about the dyno he used or his results. So before you go off on someone, read there posts.

When I'm at New Dimensions (where I help out from time-to-time) I still peruse the Forums to see what's going on. While there I'm not an Audizine Mod or Admin, so I have a different screen name. I'm not trying to hide anything, but if you see a problem with it.?.?.?

I don't know what chip is on your shoulder, or what the real problem is, but you really need to chill the hell out. It's just the net, no need to get so worked up and storm off angry.

We all get passionate about things, I understand, but please don't forget the big picture. It's about the love for the cars, it's nothing to fight or get upset about.

If you feel the need to not post here anymore, that's your choice and you're entitled to it. I for one wouldn't want to see anyone leave over all of this, whether it be a more technical hardcore member or a casual enthusiast, but I have no control over that.

    Derrick,

I think that your info was helpful to the forum. No one is claiming that it wasn't.

What is being addressed by this post is the constant need by some members (and I'm NOT going to name names) to compare numbers and to point out flaws in each other's dyno plots.

Where these posts take a turn for the worse is when some posts are unprofessional and plain impolite. Part of this is the nature of the internet, part of it is that some members are more abrasive than others.

The other thing that is bothersome is that someone will post a dyno CHANGE over a baseline run and someone will still question those numbers... which makes no sense to me.

While your frustration is founded, I think that you're going to far by what you're saying. To generalize the whole Audi crowd like you have is an insult to those who don't fall into this group of members who value "show" over "go." I'm as performance oriented as the next guy, but that doesn't mean I have to stop trying to make my car look good. Nor does that mean that I have to insult those that do. I'd just rather spend my dollars on mods that increase handling/engine performance over bodykits.

Many of us have at one time or another got into a heated debate on this forum. We've let our anger get the best of us. That's nothing new. Every forum I've partcipated in has this type of issue every once in awhile. I've moderated a few in my time and there's always a debate here and there.

    Rich,

You may feel my opinions are harsh, but they are my opinions. This is the first forum that I have run into a crowd like this. I have been modding and racing cars since I was 16 but this crowd is by far the worst. Like you said, some people complain about everything on here. I post numbers on a MAHA people complain. Then I post from a Dynojet and people complain. JetJockey uses the same dyno and people complain. I have never seen that on other forums. You are right, people argue everywhere, but this is the first forum that I have seen complaints like these. Now people are using my name as being the one who argues these things. I have never argued numbers. You know that, because you like me, like that kind of info so you have been on the same posts that I have. I never put JetJocky down. In fact I haven't even posted on his new dyno threads because it is not worth while on this forum. Seems like most people here just want to talk BS and not let anyone make a point or let others argue. I didn't mean to put down the entire community, but man seriously this forum puts a bad taste in my mouth. Even having the people here (like you, JetJocky, Duan, Drew, and the few others that know their shit) just doesn't offset the ones that complain about everything. I am just tired of the crap here and I think this will be my last post, at least for a long while. I know most of you will be happy to see me go, so enjoy.

You see, I just can't understand where you're coming from, Derrick. It's the same small group that goes back and forth on the dyno numbers, questioning this and that. Which is fine, that's great, that's what sites like this are all about. That's not the problem, it's only when the debates get overly heated and they begin to take a turn for the worse; when name calling and bitching starts coming into play (as this one did) that the real issues arise.

So I feel you're greatly generalizing the Members on this Forum with your comments. We can all be hardheaded and stubborn, but do you really not see the true problem here? The animosity doesn't stem from the tech topics themselves, but rather in the manner in which they get discussed.

Villains, I went through this with you a while back and I'll say it again. You are a knowledgeable guy with some good info for everyone here but you can't seem to get a handle on the difference between saying "i think that's wrong" and "that's a bunch of BS" or "that's stupid". I don't care how much you know or think you know, you'll never know enough to call someone stupid. I'ts not just that your opinions are harsh, they're often confrontational, arrogant and condescending. You might consider it's not the list's problem, maybe it's your manner....

    BTW Derrick,

You going to be at the KK meet tonight? I know I normally dont like the "car show" meets, but I need to collect some money from a fellow Audi owner (you know who you are..hehe) and give him some parts. Are you going to be there w/ your beast? I promised Drew first round of donuts, I guess I owe you a round or donuts too. F-u-ck all this "dyno" bullshit man... I would like to take a look at your beast and get a ride for myself. Ass dynos work best as you know. :)

If you're going to be there, I'll see you there bro.

    Thank you.
Have to appreciate those that have devoted the time and effort to their rides and have all this knowledge. Love reading what you guys have done and how its progressing, no need to have every thread on those topics turn south.

I think the reason people are always trying to compare dyno numbers and trying to say why they think theirs is either faster or slower despite the number is because of the knowldge every body has here. A lot of other forums, i think people don't understand that dynos turn out different numbers. If this were a perfect place everyone could assemble at one dyno and run thier cars, to get a true reading on waht does what. But really at the end of the day 5 or 10whp isn't going to make much of a difference. the people here with upgraded turbos, actually not just here, all over are far and few between, so doing what you do should command respect itself. I would never go up to bv,jet jockey, dsl, villansand say your car is slow or your numbers are not accurate. BC at the end of the day, thier cars are probably some of the sweetest rides out there in the a4 world. Im sure people asking for dyno numbers would trade thier car for any of yours in a heart beat. keep doing what your doing guys, any numbers your throw up seem to be pretty impressive, even if other people don't see them as that. Hell, throw any engine mods or apperance on there and it will leave people jealous, just the nature of hte beast.
