I would think so... Far as I know, there was no change to the MAF in the AEB's

I'm not sure what the differences are but, there's 2 different MAFs for AEB cars:

    Bosch part #0 280 217 117 = AEB engine code, from VIN #W 080 001 (98.5+)

    Bosch part #0 280 217 112 = AEB engine code, up to VIN #W 080 000 (before 98.5)

    My car is 97.

pretty sure you want the newer one as the posts i have seen about the 97 mafs is that they are just about as bad as the 2000 maf which have been recalled.

Recalled? So if I go to Audi they will give me another one?

Also, the posts I have been reading say that the newer MAF's are ok. Humm, I'm confused now.

    Can anyone with a K04 vouch for this part? Bosch part #0 280 217 117 = AEB engine code, from VIN #W 080 001 (98.5+)

the year 2000 MAF's were not recalled - not in Canada anyway. Audi actually extended the warranty on them (and some other years as well) to 7 years and 100,000km iirc. they'll only replace it if you have a problem with it. I recently had mine replaced when my car threw a CEL and they traced it to a bad MAF.

    G-low,

Thanks man I appreciate your help. I actually found a local place (happends to be an APR dealer) around here. With the help of Burnt, I was able to get them the right rebuild part number of the MAF. Picked one up for about $70. Thanks for your help. I be sending you flowers later bro
