High temps and burning smell to newly installed Thermal Race

I just had my Thermal Race installed today and I am experiencing a burning smell (kinda like BBQ or roasted peanuts) and also unusually high temps on my outside temperature reading on the center dash digital console...

Is this normal? I am thinking it just needs some breaking in, and some of the powder and stainless is just breaking in, thus the burning smell....

Anyone have this happen? Comments and suggestions would be nice....

Other than that, the install went well and the tips dont stick out as much as people have commented about. I love the sound of the Thermal Race too....very throaty and not too loud.

I had the same thing when my Thermal was new, so that's just normal. It disappears after a couple of hundred miles

The outside tempereture thing sounds bizarre

I will have pics after Wednesday. I want to take pics after I put on my Neuspeed modified Bilsteins and Neuspeed Sports along with my 19s......

Looking good so far..can't wait to see it after wheels and suspension....been over 9 months since I got my car!
