I would be happier in some old 96 A4 before I was in some Has been M3.

I will have to completely agree with you. I have driven a few E36 M3 and they are no good. I love the E46 though. They look amazing and much better quality. Haven't driven one yet though.

and in my opinion the e46 is over rated. that car or rather motor is living on the edge. i have yet to see any serious hp/torque numbers for that car.

prettty sure thats the color. its rare, i dont ever remember seeing a e36 in this color before. well, other than evos. there seemed to be a lot of M3 evos made in that color.

do you know of any good companies to go to for the said kit? i honestly dont know of any. the only turbo e36 i remember reading about is that crazy ass black one in euro tuner. i think the owner called it darth vader or something. it had some serious power, like around 500hp.

when you take a small engine like the E46 M3 motor. And you raise the compression ratio so high as to get 325+hp out of an n/a 6cyl, on pump gas...its no wonder there isnt an after market.

I think for what it is stock, its an amazing power plant. Does it have alot of potential? No. But it blows that shit can e36 out of the water.

Aren't we missing one verision? I see a boxy-looking verision of the M3 around, that was not pictured above. That's the one I was saying I did not like. It's a 2-door, and also on the same platform that I thought the M5 used to be built on. But, I may be wrong, I'm not really sure.

the e36 m3 i drove was amazing....but if youre a mod happy person like myself and want one, go with the 95. the 3.0 engine is alot more tunable than the 3.2 they started using in 96....myself? id take a 2000 s4 over an e36 anyday....but in 2000 when bmw came out with an inline 6 putting out 333hp....it had alot of people going nuts....the new m3, from what ive seen, looks like chris bangles ass.
