has any attempted the Kerscher front spoiler mod? I really like the way it looks as opposed to the more aggresive bolt-on aftermarket RS bumpers. Would love to see some pics and any installation stories.

i believe you are thinking of the RS2 bumper which is different than this.

I have one, but I didn't install it yet.. =P It's been sitting in my garage for over 2 years now..!!! Instructions are all in german, but it doesn't look too bad. you need to cut half your stock bumper off, and glue/screw in the bottom lip to your stock bumper. I'm a little worried that the fit isn't going to be as good as it is in the picture though...

I spoke with Steven over at LLTEK Motorsports for a while about this front spoiler mod. It sounds like a job that can be done with a trained tuners hand, but recommended I have it done by a shop. For the most part the cutting that has to be done is somewhat hidden, although I gathered there are some cuts that will show, so a good cut and maybe some touch-up paint is a good solution. And even though LLTEK does paint out their bumpers before shipping if you choose, this one sounds like maybe it should be shipped unpainted, installed then have the entire bumper assembly painted out. In my case, being that I live in NY, my oem bumper is looking a bit shabby so the latter solution might be the best.

808Grouch - do you remember how much you paid for the spoiler?

LLTEK has the spoiler for $411 - and in order to achieve the driving light look, you have to get the "fog light adapter kit" for an additional $111 - totaling $522. Seems a bit steep for a spoiler mod when you can get an entire bumper for that price. Has anyone found it for cheaper?

I can't remember how much I paid for it... I bought it from DTM Autohaus.

The "fog light adapter kit" is actually a different lip. You can see in the pic posted above that the area near the fog light is one piece. To change the bulb, it looks like you need to pull off the lower valance or the bumper.

FWIW, this piece is thick fiberglass...
