    My creaking control arm mod Anyone have experiance with this car only has 50k should I replace the noisy control arm or pull them out and put grease zerks in?

    mine actually started to creak when i hit the gas and the front rises... very annoying. will grease stop this.

    Mine creaked BAD this wkend. I sprayed some Prolong grease on all the possible joints, and it went away...for now.

    The creaking almost always comes from the bushings on the lower arms. You can spray grease on the hole that the bolts travel though but, it won't go away completely.

    The cause of the squeak is that the bushing shrinks and now there's play between the metal collar inside the bushing and the bushing itself. As the arm pivots, the rubber slides against the metal collar and the squeak occurs. Since it's bolted to the subframe, the rubbing also vibrates the subframe bracket and the noise is more pronounced.

    If the bushing is worn, there's a good bossibility that the balljoints will be too. Mine started to squeak at 70K right after I changed my suspension (struts/springs). I replaced all my control arms and stabilizer links in Feb. and I haven't heard a peep since.

    thanks guys I think I'm gonna spray it down and see if I can get it to quiet down and plan on getting the Meyle heavy duty kit later on...there goes another $600 bucks + alignment

    If the creak is coming from a bushing that has a rubber grommet you can inject grease into it. That stopped mine last fall. Took 3 days of driving to stop, but then it was gone all winter and hadn't come back.

    i think mine is starting to get a lil bit more squeaky. should i do something now? it doesn't annoy much at all, it's just whenever i go over speed bumps.
