When I was in Cali my car started to idle roughly when I have the ac on. It doesn;t do this when its off but its annoying. I was thinking maybe it was the oil I put in but i doubt it. I usually use Castrol Syntec but for the first time evr I used Mobil 1 0w 30. What could possiblely be wrong?

your car has to make extra juice to support the AC, and will cause your car's needle to just a bit. Nothing to worry about. If you want to make sure, try letting your car idle, and either turn the steering wheel, or(While the windows are up) just try and close them, your needle will jump around too.

if you have access to a vag-com check your maf readings and find someone with a similar setup to compare data with. i was having idle issues and it turned out to be a bad maf and primary o2 sensor. woo hoo yeay 2000 maf recall oh well at least i get one for free.

My car is doing the same thing with A/C on. I noticed that the vacumm pressure is less when I have the A/C on than without.

It's idling much more roughly than normal. I can see the steering wheel vibrate with the A/C on at idle.

Mine shakes even when the AC is off. It idles low at like 700 rpm. Also the check engine light is on. I VAG'ed it and it came out with and idle response error. I think i might try changing the spark plugs, im not sure if that will fix the problem.

just a random thought but you might try a throttle body adaptation
