Anyone else going to watch Gotti's daughter?

Her reality show looks interesting. I'll give it a chance, I'm a sucker for reality TV, even though I hate it, I can't help myself.

The show starts now (9:30pm EST) on A&E.

Seriously though, how damn spoiled and ill-behaved are those kids!? Can definitely see what too much money and not enough discipline can do to kids, especially boys. The scene of the one whining and bitching because someone used all his hair gel, oh man! Sad view of Italian Americans...I'm embarrassed.

Yeah, it was ok. It was entertaining, but not sure if I'll ever remember to tune in again.

Those kids are destined for organized crime. They're such little punks, and they're living like kinds without even working and without any discipline.

If the Dapper Don was around he's smack them silly.

I have a family member who died in jail a while back. He was in there for "racketeering", amongst other mafia related things. I was young at the time, and no one in the family will really talk about it. No one else in the family was involved with him. He stole a lot from our family.

Utica, NY, was one of the biggest mafia areas. Once they started cracking down in NYC, many of the members moved upstate to get away from the heat down there, and they set up shop in Utica. The Simpsons actually make reference to it a lot during episodes with Fat Tony.

The famous RICO laws (Racketeering Influenced Corrupt Organization) are said to have been created due to the activity there.

I grew up about 30 minutes away from there.

yea.. my great great grandpa grew up in sicily, then moved over here. i guess his original last name was "DeStefano" i'm not exactly sure of the correct spelling.. but he had to change it to Reed to try to protect himself.. except that didnt exactly work because he was killed anyway. so now my last name is reed, instead of DeStefano.. kinda interesting, especially since the family neglected to tell me anything about this until about a year and a half ago.

my dad did "business" with guys from the gambino organization back in the day when Pauly Castellano was in charge....he eventually got shot by John Gotti.

Wait a sec...

By "he eventually got shot", you mean Big Paulie, right? Not your dad, I hope. Your post seemed to imply that your father was shot by them. I hope that is not that case, and if so, I'm sorry.

BTW - from all accounts I've seen, Gotti didn't do much execution. He had cronies do it, as did most boss-hopefuls. Then again, I'm not in the mafia, so what do I know.
