My Audi is no more (BWW)

A little bit of background to the whole event:
When it happened I was on a 70 mile fun run around the area here I live with the Eastern Pennsylvania Quattro Club(EPqC) along with about 14 other Audis 3 others of which were in the group in which I was traveling. The plan was to complete the 70 mile run and the go eat lunch at a tavern in West Chester.
Well stuff stopped going as planned about half way through.

I ran into a little bit of a problem as I was going through an intersection where a girl blew a 2 way stop, where she had to stop but I didn't. Well not really knowing the roads I was going pretty slowly but because there was a berm on the side of the road from where she was coming I didn't see her in time to stop completely. I plowed into the side of her car going 20-30mph(if anyone thinks I was speeding I have many witnesses saying I was only going at this speed along with the damage of the accident). Enough to push her down the road a bit but not to seriously injure anyone. The driver of the other car, a Saturn, was taken to the hospital suffering from I believe shock and maybe a broken nose. The passengers of the other car were fine although a little more than pissed that they were both involved in an accident and that the accident involved a nice Audi. I'm fine as well as my girlfriend who was the passenger/navigator for the event, though she was pretty shaken up as she's been through a lot of accidents in the past year.

A silver A4 was leading the group, followed by a silver S4, then me and then a black S4. The two silver cars stopped about a quarter of a mile after the accident and then came back around to check how we were doing. The guy in the black S4, Alex, had time to stop pretty nicely behind us and just watched the whole thing unfold. He pulled off to the side and helped calm my girlfriend down as well as took pictures of the incident with my camera. So yes I actually have pictures of this one. I was pretty pissed that this happened to my car as well as everyone else there, I'm sure it's pretty sad to see the same type of car you're driving all messed up in a ditch especially because of a stupid accident. I think they were all a little pissed as well especially Alex as if we were about one second quicker or slower it could have been any one of them that hit the other car. Just bad luck that it was me.

Anyways the accident was totally her fault and she'll be issued a traffic citation. I have a pretty damn stong case with both the guy behind me seeing the accident and giving a police report as well as the guy on the opposite side of the intersection. This along with the passengers of the other car which blame the driver.

Hopefully this will all be worked out on Tuesday when the cop who reported the accident gets back from vacation. I also hope this whole process goes smoothly. Any tips in the mean time?

    And now for the pictures.
The Intersection (this is from the direction that I was coming, my view was blocked by the berm on the right hand side so I didn't see that she didn't stop until the last second before I hit her.)

best of luck to ya..been there b4..only i got rear ended so she paid for EVERYTHING(including my car rental) she hit me so hard that my rear view mirror ripped off the windshield and took a chunk of glass with it...it ended up in the back seat..my cd player ended up on the floor ...the sudden forward momentum( i was at a stand still) was so strong it caused all that shit to fly out(off)..pretty crazy considering i only got rear ended..hopefully she has to pay for it all, or maybe they might just total ur car and then u can just go buy a new one..either way audis go back together real nice, dont sweat it to much..u just have to kinda forget about it for a while..deal with a rental car lol..good luck man!

We're actually quite lucky that we didn't get hit with anything.
We had the windows open and the side view mirror of the other car ended up wedged between my seat and the side of the car, I'm guessing on the opposite side that it entered. I had to kick the door to get out of the car because of the damage to the front quater panel and the fact that even though you can't really see it the drivers door is a little deformed along with my side of the car which took most of the impact.

Riding with a group of people like that was probably the best situation in which to have an accident as I had a whole lot of support from the group especially the three other guys I was driving with.

Hopefully I'll have another S4 soon.

Sorry to hear of your bent metal. Glad nobody was seriously hurt, that is what is most important. As much as we love our cars, they can be replaced, ( RS 6 anyone?). Sounds like you did all the right things, get your witnesses lined up, took pictures, got police reports, etc. Now just let youe insurance company do the work, that is why we pay the bucks, unless there is some other problem that pops up. Good luck, and glad everybody is okay. Sh@t happens, we all make mistakes, unfortunaly the other driver made a big one that messed up your nice ride.

Wow, sorry to hear about the accident and all. Good thing, however, that you and your lady are alright. Cars can be replaced, while people cannot.

Hopefully you'll be in another S4 soon, too

That sucks, but this is another reason to have a German ride. Accidents are a scary thing and being in safe ride is worth the extra high monthly payments.

    Glad to hear your ok.

The germans sure know how to build a car. That saturn is destroyed. And yours is just a little beaten up compared to hers.

I just went through the same thing with my car, man. Glad that you're ok. It all works out in the end, but it sucks to see such a fine piece of hardware get crunched simply because of someone's stupidity.

So true. I was at the Audi dealer when a woman and salesman pulled in. The had just been T-ed by a hummer while on a test drive. Both occupants came through unscratched. The salemans said there was more damage to the hummer

That sold me on the safety of Audi.

I wish I knew if they were going to total the thing or not. I know it was leaking coolant at the time which is never a good sign but I didn't get a good look at the engine which I now realize I should have. I do know the body panels from the front doors forward are pretty much toast and the windsheild has a few nice cracks in it.

Anyways I just learned that the insurance company needs another statement from me and the driver of the other car has her mouth wired shut. Oh well.

I wanted to go on this fun run actually. I was checking out your website and I was in the area. Good to see you're in one piece. It's a good thing you're a careful driver.
