Im getting the E05 kit installed as we speak... i replaced the water pump because it went bad so while i was at that point i said why not just Install the turbo kit, install the FMIC, i bought all new belts, the rollers, and the tensioner, getting the Neuspeed pulley installed also im already having to piece the car why not.

Now my question was should i put a bov or not and if i do which one?

well your comments are appreciated thanks.

depends on how loud you want to be. if you want super loud, i would recommend the Turbo XS one, but if you're looking for something a little more stealth, the GFB Stealth Hybrid BOV has had some good reviews.

I wish i had the money to just splurge on an E05 kit if i had a bad water pump

Noooo. We all know a BOV is not meant for our cars. If you really want the sound and a poor running car as recen posts have confirmend even using the "safe" BOV than by all means, but it was not intended for use on our cars. Audi designed our cars to run a closed loop system employing a BPV. Using a BOV when you know you are going to be running the car outside of parameters sets people up for nothing but trouble. Try explaining warranty work after running a BOV. The dealer will only stop laughing to deny your claim. You want BOV, buy an Eclipse turbo. cheers! Mike

Well I know i'm going to hack up the explanation, so David at ecode can tell you better, but basically the new forge hybrid or whatever they call it BOV is able to vent the air in such a way that it is correctly metered by the MAF and does not cause poor tuning or running rich. Unfortunately there was just a post the other day on a similarly designed unit that had problems. I just cant see spending money on something that has a good possibility of throwiong your car out of tune and offers no performance increase. cheers! Mike
