    Valve cover gasket?

    Yeah, I did mine just about 3 weeks ago. It is super easy. Check this link on page 17 it shows you how to do it. The sealer that I use for my gaskets is just high temp weatherstrip sealer made by 3M, it works great. Post if you have any specific questions.

    i had my mechanic do it the gasket cost about $40+ at the dealer

    The gasket is $19 and the sealant is about $3. Other than that you will need some hex key sockets (5mm and 6mm if I recall). Since you have to remove the coil packs, you can do the plugs too.

    Does the gasket require special sealant? or what kind would I need?
