HELP! My friend Redlined my car right when he turned on my car (engine/oil was cold!)

he helped me install my Boostedtech CAI, and afterwards i let him drive it around...right when he turned on the car he started to drive around pretty hard and then redlined like 3 times and drove it hard even more, before my oil or engine warmed up properly; the engine and oil was still very cold b/c it was at night and turned off for more than 2.5 hours...
ever since i have been freaking out about it and it constantly bothers/worries me that it could have done some serious damage to my motor...do you guys think this would have seriously hurt my engine? how worried should i be?

That's deffinitly not a good thing but I wouldn't worry too much about it. If you've ever bought a car used you gotta wonder about that too. I believe that a car is more than a hunk of metal, it has a sole. So just love it some and it should be fine Sorry to hear about that dude.

it should be fine. doing that once wont kill your motor. if its done all the time then you should expect problems.

yea, youre fine. my friends father decided to try to show off his stick shift driving by redlining my car 3 times as well. he also cost me a new clutch. real nice guy

I would be pissed if someone did that to my car. I don't let anyone but my mechanics drive my car. And my mechanic also happens to be my girlfriends dad. But your car should be fine.

ah, dont worry about it. thats not going to do jack. do you know how many people own A4s that know nothing about turbo maintenance? they probably start it up and blast off right away, and turn it off without cooling it. its a car, not a glass sculpture, it can take a little abuse sometimes.

your fine dude, i would kick your friend in the nuts with no warning and see if he likes it. my girlfriend slams my f#@king passenger door as if it was a 73 buik so i had to put her in check. you should do the same.

Your car should be fine. You should instruct him that the car doesn't have solid power after 5k anyway, so there is no need to redline...
