    Making my own ski passthrough

Well, I'm about to buy a used B7, but it doesn't have the cold weather package and therefore no ski sack/pass through the back seat.

Has anyone made one for their own car? It doesn't look that difficult to do - cut a hole in the back seat behind the arm rest and somehow attach a heavy nylon bag to it.

    Is this doable?

So if you dont have the CW Package, there is no pass through at all? I have the ski sack but I dont think my snowboard will fit through it so if I can remove it I can send it your way.

Just went out and "felt up" the carpet on the back of the 2/3 rear seat, and there's a perforation of some sort there.

Re: Making my own ski passthrough

How do I pull the pictures out of ETKA?

Anyhow, looks like if you want to do this the OEM way, there's a couple things you could get from Audi.

First off, there's a different part number for the right rear seat, so if you don't get this, I suspect you will have to modify your existing one, my guess by cutting it.

8E5 885 504 L : backrest frame for vehicles with long load possibility (ski sack) and 3 headrests, rear ; right

8E0 885 219 4PK : frame for vehicles with long load possibility (ski sack) sabre(black)
    4B0 885 590 4PK : cover ski bag (leatherette) sabre(black) ; front, inner
    4B5 885 633 2Z3 : cover ski bag (leatherette) graphitegrey ; rear, outer
    4B5 885 215 D : ski bag (leatherette)

I don't see a replacement for the center padding (8E0 885 777 B), so I'm not sure about that piece.. Also, the sabre parts are available in other colors (beige, red, platinum) depending on your interior. Also all those are leatherette pieces, but there is nothing listed for leather pieces, so they appear common.

If you're wondering why I'm so obsessed with this, it's something I was thinking about doing as well.

This illustration is inconsistent with the format of my car, and also with the ETKA for 2007 A4. BTW, a lot of the illustrations in this parts catalog (with 2006 A4 selected) are clearly parts for the B6.
