Check out this intake, tell me what you think

Alot of people say that they aren't impressed with the intakes out there, mostly because of the heat shielding issue. I just noticed this illtek intake and it seems that they provided something to help with that. Here's the link http://www.lltek.com/aik_a4_B5_B6.htm

Also, if there's an intake that anyone knows of that stands out beyond the rest, please tell me. And if any one knows about any carbon fiber intakes, let me know.

yes, the boostedtech comes with a heatshield...i believe it is the best intake for our car on the market....it is a true cold air intake; the cone sits below the headlight and sucks up cool air....
i have it and it is awesome~!

I would NOT suggest getting that intake. It is a similar design to the EVO intake in which I used to have. I have gone back to stock and my car runs noticably better. Like I've said before,If you are not upgrading you're turbo.....I dont see the purpose of getting an intake for our cars. Stay stock.

    I agree--
Some of the best gains are seen from using the stock airbox and a K&N filter...

That sure is a heck of a lot better than losing a claimed 7 HP with the EVO when they dynoed it.

i bought that lltek intake and took it off 4 months later...so much lag. u feel that the car isnt picking up...

but i have to admit the only nice thing was the woooosh sound every time u press and let go of gas

other than that stay away from it..if you to buy mine for cheap and modify it, i will give u the whole kit for a good price

That intake doesn't do anything but burn your money. Do a good custom heatshielding job instead or stay stock if you are really concerend about performance.
