Another reason I don't like Hondas or SUVs

So I am walking to work on Tuesday morning, crossing a street, and this guy is coming up the street at a pretty good clip and sees 4 people in the crosswalk, aparently in his way (I guess he had a green arrow to turn right, but we also had a cross signal) and decided to lay on his horn. So I flip my finger at him and I am about 10 steps away from the curb when next thing that I know, I feel this huge impact on my ride side and I feel my right foot get crushed by his tire and then I am on the ground. I am completely out of it, and get taken to the hospital by ambulance and after 5 hours in the ER and a bunch on X-Rays, I come out of it with just a fractured ankle.

I find out afterwards, that the guy had hit me, run over the top of my right foot, thrown me to the ground and then taken off. Since there are about 10,000 state police, city police and secret service wandering around Boston right now for the DNC, he didnt get very far and was arrested and charged with Assault and Battery with a deadly weapon and Leaving the scene of an accident. What an asshole.

Oh, and he was driving a Honda Passport SUV.

sad to hear... hope u get better. I wouldn't expect to get all that much from suing... depends on your lawyer and his insurance. Since your injuries are more or less "recoverable". For all you sue mongers... make sure you have scarring on your face or hands, you'll get paid out the a$$.

Also, unless he's got priors, he won't see jailtime for A+B w/ D... you can get one of those in MA for kicking someone (seriously... in the paper it will read "Assault and Battery w/ Deadly Weapon: Shoe")
