Which Alarm to get?????????

So I'm looking for an alarm. I want something with the longest range pager . It needs to have remote start. There are tons of these on e-bay that range anywhere from 80-160 which include a buch of fetures and sensors and what not. I want something that is actually effective.

I'm not sure what brand or name of alarm it is, but my friend has one that has remote start and proxy, vibration, etc.... and his remote for the car is like a very mini cellphone. THe keychain part has a car on it and when the alarm is tripped a certain section of the keychain vibrates and blinks to let you know that it was tripped and what section of the car was tripped

thats just an FM 2-way pager alarm, which by the way is a must for me!

i like the alladin 2000 alarm, its cheap and works great. also works as turbo timer, two way pager. and engine start, has many other features as well. hope this helps.

hey evil, alot of times when i lock the car, the remote show sensor 1 and 'beep' after i lock the car. Whats that mean? It didnt say warn or anything or it went off earlier

Mine does that too. hahaha, funny that you say that. It is suppose to mean that an accessory or some electrical feature is still on in the vehicle. In just always thought it went off because of our delayed dome light. But it doesn't do it 100% of the time so.....

i have the aladdin as well ... it may be difficult to find as they stopped production on them.

YES, exactly. maybe 3-5 out of 10 times it shows sensor 1. Alright, is just not me being weired.

Did you guys install the system yourselves or have it professionally done? If so, how much was the install?

Also- does that remote run on FM?

If you have never done an install of an alarm before or do not have car audio experience, I would say not to attempt it. It's not terribly easy by any means.
