What high beam bulbs are you running? From the pics, they look like they are a very good match for the HIDs. Then again, the pics may be deceiving and the highs may not be on at all. Might just be a reflection of how bright the HIDs are...

did you not put the turn bulbs back in the housing? because I noticed that they are not on? or did you cut the wire and plan on using that for the city lights?

The parking lights are just not on, I have to go pick up some adaptors today, hopefully the dealer will have them. I still need to figure out which prong to hook the city lights too, I'm thinking I'll just have them run w/ the parking lights.
High beams arent on, just a reflection.

hows that work? you have the headlights on but no parking lights? WTF am I missing something here???? or you just never put them back in to the housing because it wouldn't fit because the holes don't line up right? just so you know the us spec turn holder will fit in the ecode housing. it just takes a little time and presuasion.

VT, did you see my response to your other post? it'll explain the problem you're having.

Blacka4, the parking lights are not hooked up in those pictures. I'm currently running my ecodes without parking lights. I bought the wrong connector to wire my city lights, so right now mine basically look just like the pictures VT posted. But I have working blinkers :-P

No but I'll have to check it out, I'm on mywaytothedealer now to get the 2 plug connector for my blinkers, still need to find how to wire city lights to work w/ parking lights.

Do you want them to work with the parking lights, or instead of the parking lights? All you have to do is instead of clipping the thin wire that keeps the parking lights on, just tap the city light wire into it. Both your city lights and your parking lights will come on together. I'm not sure if you'll be able to do this with the 2 prong harness though as it does not have parking lights.

Oh well. What bulbs are you going to use? Factory? Mine are way too yellow compared to my HIDs. Of course, the fogs are too. Anyone know of a good matching bulb? Of course, please post pics too.

i don't think the dealer will sell you the connector because we (you can thank DOT later) have to have the parking lights. IF you should heppen to get such a connecter post up some pictures I would love to see what you are talking about...maybe we are talking abotu 2 different things

Now all you need to do is disable your parking light, and you'll have NO AMBER unless you're turning left or right... You just need to find the right wire to cut. Not hard to do at all. Just use a multi-meter to check voltage in the socket. Very easy. Who needs amber parking lights anyway, especially w/ you have city lights...

I don't have a voltmeter. Anyone know which wire it is? The way I want to run mine are:

City lights on instead of parking lights
Parking lights on only when signaling

This is how they are setup in Europe, right? TIA.

the wire you want to clip and run to your main healight harness for the city lights is the skinniest one on the corner lamp harness.

I just use one of those fuse testers, screwdriver w/ metal point, and a wire/ground coming off the end, radioshack for like less than $5, thats how I found which wire to splice into, I think I'm going to leave the amber in there, to double check when you cut the wire, it should be number one, there are small numbers on the actual socket.

does anyone now how to turn the city lights and ambers off when you flip on the HIDs??

on Canadian A4s our fogs function as DRLs...

so i was thinking... maybe i could splice the city lights to the fog wires?? so that during the day i have city lights+fogs as DRLs and when i turn on the HIDs i get just the HIDs and no city lights? does that sound like a reasonable idea? I just have to figure out where the wires to the fogs are.. anyone have pictures?
