Maybe there's a reason why 12 year olds can't and shouldn't vote. I'm not so much pro-GW or Kerry, but rather I abhore the use of children as puppets/symbols of such a cause. This girl has no idea that she's being used, only that she's getting lots of attention and approval from very "important" grownups. While I certainly applaud her efforts to participate and hopefully to better understand politics, her very analogy strongly evinces a lack of comprehension of the subject matter. Cognizant of the likelihood that she has no other more germaine perspective on the situation, I'll still grimace and wretch if her next suggestion is that Osama bin Ladin be grounded and sent to his room.

Still, the real evil here is that "responsible" and "mature" adults are willing to parade this child around to the media to champion their own cause and to serve their own agenda.

That's just my two cents.
