I have a 97 with sport seats. They're not the leather ones, but they're some sort of fabric. Dont know what it's called. Anyways, I have stains on the seats and I cant find any answers on how to clean them. Anyone here know how?
Note: please only reply if you've actually experienced cleaning these seats.

Is that what you used on your fabric sport seats? By the way, what is that fabric called?

So in other words, you're not sure if it will work on the 97 sport seats.

they are called Leatherette, and i'm not sure what to use(i don't allow myself to eat or drink or do anything that will harm the car). I rearly clean my seat cause i don't often drive my car. I use some good stuff to clean them though, i will find out what it is later cause i don't remember and i'm not at my house

I don't think it's leatherette. Only 98+ sport seats came with leatherette. 97 sport seats came with some different type of cloth.

oh i read your post wrong i thought you said it wasn't leather but "same" sort of fabric, my bad. Well what kind of stain did you get? My little bro left some crayons on the seat and the sun melted them onto the seats and she pretty much got it all off with some chemicals she got from her work.

no problem. I just found out the material. It's called jacquard satin. As for what kind of stains, I'm not even sure. There's some water stains and it kinda looks dirty. My seats are a lighter color (kinda greyish), and the dirt/stains show quite a bit.

I hired a wet vac and removed my seats. I used carpet shampoo and a firm scrubbing brush (must be natrual bristles).

Use the wet vac to remove most of the water then leave the seats out in the sun to dry.

Mine are like brand new now.

The coils should be sealed, but I wouldn't go real overboard. Might want to try something spray on before you go all out.

I have the same type of seats, same color and everything. I've found that if you spill just water on them there are visible stains. I haven't found a way to clean them either. Hopefully the wet vac will work. I'll have to try once i'm back from vacation

Wet cleaning isolated areas won't work. You will end up with water marks as Lumas said, whereas with the vac the whole seat get's damp and will dry out very evenly, leaving no marks.

As for the seat heaters, I disconnected both those and the airbags - it's very easy there are a couple of plugs under the seats.
