ok, for 1, even without a boost gauge it is blatantly obvious when you drive a chipped car... keep in mind these are audi techs, they drive different audis all day, they know what they are doing.. 2nd... that all depends on your dealer.. i have a chip and a boost gauge in my car, and my tech actually commented that he likes how it feels when we had to go on a test run... but thats my dealer, not yours... so unless you have a spare ecu to swap out, dont worry about it... you still have a warranty right? i didnt think you had one. if you dont have a warranty.. than who cares, it wouldnt make a difference because you would be paying for the line anyway.
honestly, i think it would be better if you just bought a length of vacuum hose and did it yourself, its not that difficult, and i know that for me, i'll do almost anything to keep from making an appt. and having to take my car in and wait for it even if its under warranty.
