My friend died yesterday (the 26th)

My friend died yesterday riding a motorcycle. 17 years old. Was riding a friend's UNREGISTERED bike.

He lost control, went up onto the curb and into the grass... he tried to bail, and when he did, he lost his helmet. His head hit a small tree (about 6" in diameter) and he died instantly... the tree used to be upright, it's now on an angle. I guess it's better that his helmet came off though, because if it had stayed on, he'd be a quadraplegic or something... and in my opinion, i'd rather die instantly and painlessly than live the rest of my life as a quadraplegic or a vegetable.

Before any of you say "he got what he deserved for driving without a license," know that you are a heartless piece of shit. While I agree that what he did (riding without a license) wasn't the best idea, it doesn't take away from the fact that this was a tragedy and a lot of people, including myself, are hurt and upset by it.

Yeah i didn't understand what the license had to do with anything. Sorry to hear. I have been hearing a lot about things happening on bikes now-a-days. I have been considering getting a bike for the past 4 months and all these things happening already turned me off.

The reason I mentioned the license is because a few people I know have said something along the lines of "he got what he deserved for driving without a license," and i figured on an internet forum, people might not be afraid to have the same type of views. then again, this isn't NASIOC OT, this is AZ.

I'm glad nobody on this board would've taken a stance such as that in the midst of a tragedy. thanks for the support guys.

    Sorry to hear about that.

I don't care what he was doing and whether or not it was legal, whenever someone dies young, it's always a tragedy. Anyone that is pathetic enough to say that he "deserved it" is worthless, in my opinion.

Screw the license... the loss of a friend or loved one is BAD.
Just found out that my step dad has Fast Growing Cancer. If untreated he lives for two months. If treated he lives for one to two years. Sux, man it sux! I can truly relate to where you are right now. I'll say a prayer for your friend!

Was the helmet not on properly? I've seen people riding w/ little 1/2 helmets or helmets w/ the chin straps nunatot fastened. Not a good idea.

    Sorry for your loss.
