    New (to me) car ideas?

After tons of headaches with my allroad, I finally just had to get rid of it. I traded it on a pickup that I am really happy with, and suits my needs well, but now I'm thinking about getting a second car in the next year or so, and wanted to hear some thoughts or ideas.

I plan on spending $10,000-20,000, and want a small fast car that is fun to drive, and comfortable enough for longer trips. I also would like to stay with a turbo or supercharged car and don't want to give up AWD. This will be a dialy driver most of the time so reliability and parts are somewhat of a concideration, but it's a second car, so whatever.

Here are the cars I've been thinking about so far they all have thier pros and cons though:

    '84 quattro
fun to drive, rare, quattro, history, modding ability, somewhat expensive but will retain value

    '82 quattro (rs2 conversion)
400hp Porsche slayer, ultimate handling and power, really pricey, very well built and maintained

    5 cyl S4
Bigger Sedan, but it's an S4. I think the 20v turbo may be audi's best engine, I would deffinately be pusing this to 350+ HP.

    '90 Carrera AWD
What more do I need to say. A little more than I want to spend, not turbo.

    Mitsu. 3000 GT
Cheap, fast, AWD, twin turbo. Lacks class and uniqueness

    914-6
I know it's not turbo or AWD, but it's been one of my dream cars, they are so light and so well balanced.

Go with the 5cyl S4. I drove one the other day and it was a blast!

'82 quattro (rs2 conversion), even more rare than the 84 Ur-Quattro and at 400 HP, crazy fun to drive.

BTW, I drove a very well maintained 914-6 last summer (as a possible purchase) and wasn't as impressed as I thought I'd be.

definelty go for the S4, it's class and speed, and comfortable too.
What year were you looking at?
I spent 8 years touring the world in a rock band...now I do nerdy piano composing and movie scoring, and my obsession with cars and being a member of this community for a decade has lead me to start SD Wrap (www.sdwrap.com).

Those were my two top choices. I'm leaning towards the S4, just because it's a little more versitile, about half or 2/3rds the price and 14 years newer. I'm thinking about a 92, but not sure about that one.

A late 80's Porsche 944 turbo. Cheap to purchase (around$4k) and with about $5 to $8k in mods you'll have a monster your hands. Or another thought is a WRX, they are starting to get relatively cheap as they have been out for a couple of yrs now plus turbo, AWD and a ton of mod potential, the only minus is the rice factor. Just a couple of ideas.
