Total House Fan

So I'm watching the news and they are talking about the (hot) weather. The newsreporter interviewed some passerbys on the streets for their thoughts and some (blond) lady responds: "We have a total house fan at home, when we turn it on, it'll cool the whole house down."

Umm isnt that called AC? Total house fan?

it's pretty weird that here in S.F. the weather is foggy, misty and about 67 degrees. perfect turbo weather. oh and i don't need any fans...

Yeah I didn't just post this to be funny, I was wondering if such a thing ever exsisted. Because I asked myself (after she said those comments), "How in the HELL does one in this day and age do not know what AC is?"

I kinda have a total house fan... there is a fan in every room of my house. Though, my friend actually does have a "total house fan." It runs through the same ducts as AC, just doesn't cool the air before blowing it. It does blow a lot faster than AC, just doesn't help that much when its really hot.

Yeah, total house fans rule. Had a neighbor who had a wood chip furnace catch fire. Whole house was filled with smoke.

The whole house fan sucked the smoke out in less than 10 minutes...
