A4 Turbo making a whining noise.

For about 2 weeks I have been hearing a whining sound coming from my engine. Took it to Muller & Muller this morning and have just been told that the berings from the turbo are gone and that's what's causing the noise. Had a feeling that's what it was but the car was making boost and holding like normal.

Ohhh well.

One other question. is it possible to run a KO4 with KO3 software?

Sure its possible.

If you dont have the proper software, you wont fully utilize the full potential of the Ko4...

In Australia there are a handfull of people running bigger turbos in their Audis.
I know of an A4 with the Works! 2L GT turbo runs 12s
and A3, A4 and a VW Passat with KO4.

Ko4 with Ko3 software is fine, but you will only hold your peak boost a bit longer I believe.
