    1.8t challenge preparations continue

Earlier this week Mike gave me a big hand and we pulled the front koni's out and dialed up the rebound dampening 10% from 70-80. The front end of the car settles much quicker than before when the weight is imbalanced from a bump. Today we went ahead and installed a set of H-Sport sway bars replacing the old stock/neuspeed setup I had.

    remaining to do items:
    Finish brake ducting
    Awaiting Carbotech pads
    Finish Oil cooler
Potentially a new turbo kit... :) we'll see.

In anycase here are some blinging H-sport pics for you guys to drool on :P BTW the h-sport front bar was 4lbs lighter than the stock sport front bar, and the rear was ~.4-.5lbs lighter than the neuspeed bar.

Much thanks to Mike and Helen @ purems again for their time and assistance!

Well i've only had them in for a couple of days and to be honest haven't been able to push the car to the point of breaking the tires free. I avoid doing that sort of thing on the streets. But so far the car feels much more grounded when pushed hard through a turn. The car feels like it's just squatting under load and holding through most turns very well. Definately less twist(roll) in a hard turn. Turn in is noticeably quicker as well. We'll see how they do at the challenge :)

And you're probably running S4 koni's and not a4 konis. Btw what setting did you put the shock rebound dampening to?

actually i'm running the a4 koni's as thai had them since i just took his old setup. IIRC he had them 60/40 but I could be wrong. I was going to bump it up but Mike already put in one side so oh didn't get to adjust it. I'm still happy with the current settings definitely a big improvement over my h&r/bilstein setup

Paul, speaking of 1.8t challenge preparations I sent you an email today. Bad news buddy, turbo won't be in my hands until thursday. Probably too late for 1.8t challenge right?
