first upgrade your suspension. You DO NOT want to know what 17+ inch wheels will look like on the stock non-sport suspension. Seriously, it's scary.

^ LOL agreed. Rims and no changes to suspension is my biggest pet peeve when it comes to cars. What's your budget? I'm about to buy some Fliks myself.

ok this may sound really dumb but I gotta ask. I have the sport steering wheel. Does that mean I have sport suspension? if so can I lower it now?

looking at the picture I'm guessing your car is a 96. Sports package on the pre 97 A4s was just a steering wheel and different wheels IIRC. They didn't actually throw in the red shocks until 97 or after. Also the Sport steering wheel could be purchased as a seperate option. Anyway, you're still on non-sport suspension.

I know it's annoying cuz you had your heart set on a new set of wheels, but I promise you, the second you throw 17s (or bigger) on that suspension, you'll wish you had gotten an aftermarket suspension, and you'll realize that those new wheels just don't look right with all that wheel gap. Do yourself a favor and go with a suspension upgrade first, you'll love to lowered look and the improved handling and feel of the car.

Not only will suspension give your car a nice, aggressive look, but it improves handling as well. ALSO, you get the placebo effect that your car has gotten faster. =P You're lower to the ground, so everything appears to be coming faster at ya haha. (Well, maybe you're going 0.00001% faster due to decreased air resistance...)
