    Talking Ultra Sport Bumper Conversion

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Fellow AZ’ers, HELP! Someone out there must have done the Ultra Sport bumper conversion to their ’20, ’03 or ’04 A4? Does someone have the parts list, part numbers and possible costs associated with this conversion? Fellow AZ’ers with ETKA access would most definitely be helpful in this request.

Please let me know, I really want to do this conversion on my ’03 A4 before my wife spends the money on something really frivolous like furniture or clothing!!!!

    Thanks in advance…

your best bet is to go to the dealer and get all the parts from the dealer...not too many people have done it. You'll need a complete front bumper skin upper and lower, the grille pieces MAYBE a new cross member...the rears would require the cover the absorber top trim plate and these are the major things...can't tell you bout the small nuts and bolts though that would have to be through the EKTA dont even think the bentley has that yet as this is an 04 item.

Whatever it is, its gonna be $$$$$. Did you consider a Sportec kit? Those look pretty similar.

The Votex kit looks pretty close to the USP kit too.

I've done the Ultrasport front. You will need upper bumper cover $460 CAD , lower spoiler $108CAD, center grills $160CAD and 2 fog light grills $46CAD @. All price in Canadian .I do have some part # here

    8E0 807 110 B/GRU -BUMPER
    8E0 807 682 C/01C -DX PLASTIC
    8E0 807 681 C/01C -SX PLASTIC
    8E0 807 647 D/01C -CENTRAL GRILL

I don't have much info for rear bumper, but as i understand, you will need upper and lower bumper cover and all euro cross members.... It must cost more than front!
    Hope this help!

Thanks everyone……I was getting stuck with looking for all this under searches. I’ll check over on AW and search on turbo flipper to see if I can find some additional info. I also went to both of the Audi dealers here in St. Louis and one said he couldn’t help me ( not sure if he could even spell Ultra Sport) and the other said that he would get back with me, but hasn’t. The Ultra Sport look is a look that I really like. I plan on doing the conversion, probably the back first and then the front later. I was hoping to cross the pond to Germany this fall and pick up some e-codes (don’t know yet if I’m going standard or S4) before I do the front. Promise you this, when I do it, I’ll take lots of pics and post a write up to pave the way for others…….!

Any additional info is welcomed. Thanks again for the info.

Here is some info off of AW from turbo flipper. It is similar to WhiteAvant’s list (thanks for your help). Now just need to know what additional nuts and bolts. WhiteAvant’s cost was about $815 Canadian. Converts to about $615 USD.

    V8E0 807 110 B GRU SPOILER – lower spoiler
    V8E0 807 103 AS GRU COVER – bumper cover
    V8E0 807 682 C 01C GRILL – Fog grill
    V8E0 807 681 C 01C GRILL – Fog grill
    V8E0 807 647 D 01C GRILL – Center grill

    Foo?

Foo, when you did the Sportec, did they just cut off the lower OE and replace with Sportec or is Sportec the whole bumper, upper and lower? I am actually looking for more of an add to the existing. Zender has one, but its not much at all. LLtek has one for the S4, but not sure if it can be modified to fit a standard A4? Any ideas on adds to lower OE other than these?

I can't answer for Foo, however it was necessary to cut off the lower OE and replace with Sportec when I had mine installed.

A4Shizl, did you do it or have a shop. Much time or hassle involved? Thx

    UPDATE:

    UPDATE:

Shadyraven on AW did the conversion to the Ultra Sport front end. He verified the list shown above and has a step by step process on how to do the conversion along with pictures off of the Audi technical manual published by Bentley. It looks simple enough, about a half a days work. You can contact Shadyraven on AW or me (I don’t think he’ll mind) if you want the install instructions.

I’m having my converted at the body shop due to some minor damage. So, if something breaks during the conversion, I’m covered. Not the hands on approach I was thinking I would take, but a time saver.

Next is the RS4 grill conversion. Anyone know if the lower center grill can get converted to the RS4 grill look?

    Cheers…

The body shop that installed my bumper did it. It took 3 days for everything... Prep, prime and paint... this includes the painting the lowers...
