camburg racing just released their c/o's (made to spec by sway away) and a deaver full leaf pack w/ bilstein 5100 rear shocks...all should make it 2.5-3" of lift

Camburg and Deavers, nice choice. Should have gone with the long travel kit though

My friend has the Total Chaos unibal long travel kit on his Tacoma. Its awesome. Around 14" of travel. He has Nationals in the rear and Bilsteins with resivoirs going through the bed into a custom shock hoop/brace. Gets around pretty good in the sand.

Are the Deavers going to be a 3" lift too? That might be too high in the rear since it is already around 2.5" higher in the rear from factory.

Deavers will be even the make it to match...I didn't want to do the long travel cuz you have to replace the fender etc and is his a prerunner or 4x4?

His is a prerunner, but they have the same kit for 4wd. They use axles from a Tundra to make up for the 7" overall wider track width. They even have a kit for the 5 lug Tacomas. Your truck's going to look and a handle a beating a lot better now.

Did you get the uniball upper arm as well? I was going to buy a Tacoma and get the same kit. Oh well... I just got some Audi instead

BRO!!! I think others know about it, but probably not anybody much farther north than the 909. Maybe some people in Vegas too..

Yeah, you don't want to get much bigger than 32's, especially without glass. 33's would hit on big bumps without glass. My friends truck has 35's and doesn't rub at all. It also sits just barely higher than a stock truck and has around 34" of travel in the rear and 16" up front

Oh yeah, its his daily driver too.

yup sure did and while Jason Demello's back there he'll be putting in Stainless steel brake line in so that'll be nice. That's some serious travel your buddy has there. sometimes have a prerunner would be cool to have to make it all crazy.

I don't personally have any pics, but his truck is on the H&M fabrication website. The pics on there are before he built the back though. I believe he just had springs and bilsteins in the pics (its a black 2001 Ford Ranger). He built the entire truck by himself except for the upper and lower a-arms. He caged the entire truck from the cab all the way back. He even has custom sheet metal work everywhere, including the dash. The cage in the cab actually makes a design on the roof. The rear is a 4 link with monster trailing arms and massive King coilovers with resivoirs. There is also a Currie ford 9" rear end thats reinforced. Oh can't forget the cooler holder in the bed. He did all this by himself on the weekends and he is only 21 years old! His work is some of the cleanest I have ever seen.

My other friend with the long travel tacoma has about 14" travel in front and about 16" travel in the rear.

Here's some pics of his front end.

The front end kit runs $3600 plus install, but he got it for around $1000 installed since he was the first person to buy it! They offered to prototype a long travel kit for the newer Silverados for free for his brother, but they needed the truck for a month. The kit now sell for around $7000!!!

You best be doing some serious mud sligning when you jack it up, otherwise I'm coming down there to drive that truck like it should be.

Actually you should drive it up here for me, deep snow in the winter, mud in the summer. Can't go wrong.

Yeah those a-arms on the ranger are fully boxed and braced.

Here's what the Tacoma kit looks like.

And here is what his truck basically looks like. Except his has rims and the bed is partially caged.

Another one of my friends just got a long travel kit for his Silverado. Extended upper and lower a-arms and coilovers. Yeah, I live in BRO central. I'm practically the only person that drive a car. I'm pretty sure I have the only B6 Audi in my town. No joking.

All people do around here is go to the river or desert. Though, I have been to the desert a couple times and had an awesome time.

Holy sh!t. That the desert for ya... drunk fools and idiots. There are almost no rules out there. Its like anything goes. It calmed down a bit though. I remember one weekend out at Glamis they had the National Guard out there.

It used to just get way too rowdy. EVERYONE would go to the hill at night (Competition Hill). There would be like 15,000 drunk people there. People would dig huge trenches just so people would crash. Huge fires, and fights. I knew people that woudl take trips out there just to cause problems. Didn't even have trucks or toys. Some people actually stole my friends truck to take out there. After they stole it I saw it parked 2 houses up from me. It turned out we knew the guys so we just went over to the house and took it back. They didn't know my friend owned it. Idiots.

But now you aren't allowed to go to the hill at night. That rule has made the place a lot more tame. Everyone just gathers for the sand drags during the day. I heard of big weekends out the with over 50,000 people.

It was pretty mellow last time I was out there, pretty calm.

It was either the Tahoe or the Audi and I chose Audi. It sucks that with the Tahoe I always wanted to go fast, and with the Audi I always want to be up high and feel in charge.

Took it out to Holy Jims a couple times--that was fun.

Take a trip out to Ocatillo Wells-heard it's a lot of fun out there.

I want this!!! 26" of wheel travel up front and 33" in the rear. Over 500hp and top speeds of over 135 in the dirt. 39" Tires and it sits only as high as a stock Silverado. 14" six piston calipers, GPS, Sparco interior, sound system, real carbon fiber everywhere, fully polish billet aluminum arms, and a whole lot more. And I can have it for only around $200,000.
