    Hey, i have..

    2000 Audi A4 1.8T

Just today i was driving and i noticed that the middle thing went out.

I have the auto/tiptronic. If you look int he central dash board, it is the place that is on top of display that displays your gas milage per gallon or whatever. It's on top of the gear display. The thing is totally blank now when i drive when it shouldn't be.

However, the display is functional like when you open the door and stuff. Anyone know waht I mean? If you do help please

Usually whenever something goes wrong with it you have to replace the whole thing. Maybe you can score one from a junk yard to same some dough. Also check out www.car-part.com

Either is mine. Its just the odometer reading. Everything else on my dash works fine except that one little glitch.

On my 2001 i have a button under my windshield washer lever its located about an inch from the button that tells you what your avg miles are and everything else. try punching the lower button of the handle and it should come back on. Oh and make sure the car is on when you do this.

maybe you pressed the reset button on your windshield wiper. Check that out. If thats not it, pray that you dont have to replace that whole thing.

like the last few people that responded are correct, you pressed the OFF button which is on the underside of your windshield wiper stalk. Also take a second and read your car's manual, there is a lot of useful information in there.

I accidentally did the same thing without knowing it... luckily I read the manual and it was all in there on how to turn it back on...
