PS2 vs. XBOX

Debating which system to buy. Both have extreme positives, just a matter of preference I guess. Just want to hear what some of you guys have to say/think.

Which system is better for racing games/has a better variety?

Your experiences with either system are appreciated.

ps2 for 2 reasons gta san andreas and of course gt4

Well for me, Xbox all the way, it has a lot of good games, Xbox live, better graphics, Halo 2 on the way, put it this way- Playstation is for teenagers, Xbox is for adult gamers.

i dont know about that i think their both geared towards adults and teenagers i jacked my friends xbox for awhile and compared the 2 and when i went to go rent games i wanted to rent more for ps2 then i did xbox..xbox is more for people that like to shoot the crap outa everything and ps2 is more driving orientated games

Personally, I hate Playstation. It's annoying as hell waiting for games to load. I'm a very impatient person.

I used to have a PS2 and it was great, it seems like PS2 is more set up for fighting games (like Tekken, and Street fighter type games). On that note, i really liked the PS2 but few probs, you only get 2 control ports and you HAVE to buy a memory card to save your game. You CAN get the muli port to have like 5 peeps play at the same time, but that will cost like $50+. And a tiny memory card is like $20+.

On the flip side, XBOX, seems like it more like 3 person or 1 person type games (like Duke Nukem, Halo(1st person), Ninja Guiden(3rd)) On the plus side of XBOX, you don't have to buy a memmory card cause you save your games right to they system, and you already have 4 ports. Here are some things i know about XBOX, there is a program you can buy that will allow you to download the GAME to the system(what that means you don't have to have the actual disc to play the game), and also HALO 2 is coming out soon!!

All in all i have had a PS2 before and sold it(not because i didnt' like it but i needed the money) and now that i have money again, i'm going with an XBOX.

It's sad, but i am an apple user and used to have a PS2, but now i'm looking for the Xbox

i have a PS2 right now and am buying an xbox in a few days...

which ever one u get, ur going to want the other one as well (grass is always greener on the other side)...

i cant wait for my xbox tho!! coming with XBIT, 120 GB HDD, NES,SNES, and genesis emulators, and all ftp,networking software...

I finally bought an Xbox a few weeks ago. I don't regret it one bit.

PS2 has Gran Turismo and Grand Theft Auto < Xbox does too now.

BUT, "TOCA: Race Driver 2" and "Project Gotham Racing" (both on Xbox) can hand Gran Turismo its ass on a silver platter.

definitely not my friend!!

although PG2 has come a long way since PGR, and is a GREAT game! one of my favorites!

but no way can u compare it to the GT series... PGR is more of an arcade game with improved physics, graphics, etc....

GT is a driving simulator! and the best one at that!
