New A6 diesel MPG - OMG!

Guys i watched an article about the new A6 diesel on Top Gear on Sunday. OMG!! The lead journalist Jeremy Clarkson(you prob know who he is) took the new A6 3.0 TDi V6 out to prove a point about fuel consumption. He filled the car at a station in London and drove from there to Edinburgh in Scotland (the lenght of the country) and back on 1 tank of fuel!!!!!!! thats about 650 miles!!

When he was 50 miles outside London the needle on the fuel gauge wasnt even moving and the Electronic Range counter was on 0 and it still made it back to the fuel station....he was shaking his head and asking how a car can run on nothing...lol

hah, i guess he proved his point. what kind of numbers does that A6 pull as far as horsepower? i have actaually been considering a TDI Golf for the commute to work. my s4 is taking a beating with the all the diriving and it's not the best on MPG. Or, I guess I could just move closer to work...

so you get top gear ...excellent, its great huh some of the experiments they do...lol..........hey S4creep the brake on this 3.0 is being stated at 220HP whereas the 2.5 is putting down 150 - 170 apparently....we`ll see

Diesels are all over Europe, but rare here. The technology is so advanced, but Americans are afraid of diesel, and the EPA won't allow very many of them. So instead of 50mpg we get 20mpg, talk about polluting.

It doesn't make sense... diesel falls to the ground and doesn't pollute like gasoline does. And todays diesel are far more efficient than before.
Sounds like the politicains and oil companies are in it!

yeah that sux hutash...a lot of people here have diesels for daily drivers and keep their pertol Rides for leisure. Not only for the MPG factor but because diesel vehicles hold their value better with higher milage.

The diesel technology is unbelievable these days....it wont be long before they`re gettin a 100% burn in fuel efficiency
