I need to know if anyone had changed their clutch. Why is the OEM flywheel so expensive? I dont think i need to change it but i feel like the car is almost stalling when I engage 1st. Not always but sometimes. So i dont know maybe its just me. Back to the clutch. Is it harder to do it on 2.8 cars then 1.8T? How many hours for labor should i expect. Also my sun rood seems to close very slow. Maybe the motor is going?? any ideas. THanks for any answer or advice.

My clutch exploded (really) at 130,000. Replaced it with a Matrix StageII and love it, looking back, I should have got the stageIII. The flywheel is heavy. I looked into lightening it but was discouraged by friends as this would have hindered my tranny performance. I paid $475 for labor, it's a big job on a quattro.
    Thank you: MatrixIntegrated

Kurzer thank you very much for your answer. I have 115k on mine, so I'll see in the next 10k what happends.
By the way I love the engine of this car. It might not be as tunable as other engines but its bulletproof.

In relation to your set up. Where does the clutch grab. I want it somewhere near the middle. Now mine grabs at the top and its very wierd. Well not wierd but not that great either. Well thanks again Kurzer for your answer. Hope you can help me out with future questions.
