Locating Stock Speakers

Does anyone know where to buy the stock Bose speakers, other than the stealership? I need to replace a blown one and was told by a car audio place that the cars system is wired for 1 ohm, while aftermarket speakers are wired for 4 ohms. He said the aftermarket speakers will just keep blowing out and will sounds like crap anyway compared to the stock Bose ones. Its the right rear deck lid speaker. Thanks.

Same thing here. Did the install last night and I'm not sure the speakers I bought are going to work. I looked on the Bose sight but they do not sell to the general public. They did list a # under FAQ's, its for any questions about service, replacement parts, or warranty information for your car's Bose sound. here's the info:

I'm going to keep searching because the speakers I installed are 4ohms and I'm not happy with how they sound.

FYI, The speaker size in my car(2001) was a 6 3/4 NOT a 6.5. Just a heads up. I told you yesterday they were 6.5. My bad.

Some 6.5" speakers have tabs that fit wider openings.

I'll let you know if I find anything.

This just happened to me. I put out a few inquiries for used parts websites.
